  1. As a tempest user team kills are super easy. Mostly on purpose like a player surrounded by 3 or more enemies about to be executed. Also when peeps still run in front of a firing reaper. I have been kicked a few times all pug games bar one where I took a long range shot on a chaos dude capping a point as it landed had 4 friendlies attack him all dead got kicked for that one. But mostly it by accident. Though what I would like to see is that you auto forgive and if you don't want to forgive then you hit 'E'. Even when I have been playing I have wanted to forgive but due to fire fight not been able to in time and hate to think I could get someone kicked because I was busy and missed the time frame.

Downed team kills already counts as half a TK in terms of getting booted, also being forgiven means you don't progress any towards getting kicked (although the last kill will insta kick you without the option for your ally to forgive afaik). Making it easier to forgive (sometimes pressing E feels really unresponsive) or making forgive default would be better though.
  3. This could be alleviated by looting the TF2 votekick system. A large enough to be seen dialogue window that shouldn't get in the way of fighting, and can be completed easily. It'd also be nice to find this in the Esc menu, rather than the current system of Scoreboard, Interact, Find the Bugger Among 30 names, Kick.

Better thing would be to hold E to punish not forgive..

Yeah the mechanic to forgive is there for a reason and most people can realize when it's impractical to be resurrected. I'm guilty of deff kannoning off executioners from a downed Ork boy which usually ends up with the ork laughing about it afterwards.

I don't mind dying from an ally grenade or kannon so long as it takes 1 or 2 guys with me.

If you are killing downed Teammates I think just a REQ and EXP penalty would suffice.
You'd be surprised how fast people would stop when they see; Teammate killed -100 REQ and EXP

Yes, it should count as teamkills. They might be down, but they aren't out. You finishing them is no better than you downing people. Matter of fact, i'd be more inclined to say that downing a teammate, which you then go and pick up yourself, shouldn't be as severe as killing a downed ally.

Someone that is killed while being downed, will have to respawn, run back to the action. Someone that is downed can be picked up and healed and continue with a minor inconvenience.
  8. There are too many weapons in game that reward players for just blindly firing into combat.

We don't need to encourage this kind of behavior by saying the game doesn't care about team kills.

It also just becomes a tool for griefing. Lord knows I've team killed people before to make a point. I'd do it more if the game didn't care that I was doing it.

And yeah, the actual team kill penalties we have in game need to actually do something.

I've liked the posts in this thread that have mentioned this, and I'm saying it again myself:

It should be Hold E to punish, not to forgive. Forgiveness should be granted by default since most teamkills are not intentional. Stupid, sure. But almost never intentional. This way you also know that, when you get punished for a TK, your teammate made the conscious decision to do so and can be held accountable for this action. It also prevents unintentional punishing that happens now, with the E button sometimes not responding.

I think the actual solution is quite a good one. Here´s why: Watching your fire becomes more and more important the more you evolve in this game, since you´re getting only one life for your elite troops. So it´s important to be trained in that direction. Switching the Punishment/Forgivness thing means, killing teammates is the normal state and can be punished if wanted. That makes punishment for teamkills the exception, not the rule. And sure thing, forgivness in a Warhammer Game is kinda weird. :)
