Remus laughed maniacally at his triumph. "Rejoice, my friends, my brothers and sisters, for we have brought enlightenment and salvation to these small minded creatures! They are awoken to the powers of Chaos! The Primordial Creator favors us this day!"

The Cult, with it's new converts, continued to break down the PDF outpost door, to make it their fortress.

(OCC: 20 new converts AND a base full of weapons, armor and equipment to arm them? This is gonna be fun!)

Jurgen spat out a wad of blood, his already crooked teeth looking. Well, they were already pretty crooked. But if they had been straight, they probably would have became crooked! Seeing that Thane was wasting no time, Jurgen knew that trying to get up would be useless. So instead he waited for him to get in close enough and swept his powerful legs under his, and if this worked would bring his fist up to meet the zealots throat and put a quick end to this.

    <Derraesh's Reavers>

Seeing that the Giant abomination of a Mon'Keigh had just ignored a Dark Lance, Derraesh gritted her teath, clearly that thing wasn't going to die as easily as it should do when faced by the technology of it's superiors. Then the thought came into her head that perhaps forcing their way past the wall was a more prudent plan than just wasting firepower at something that would likely leave them without any ammo left for when it really mattered.

So Vel'Tarqe yelled in Eldarin "Aeskeri, keep that beast distracted. Everyone else, tear those fools on the wall to shreds, Armadazar and Kahrthara will cover you!" which was met with a overjoyed "Yes!" from the two Wyches and Kaeqar (and grumblings of discontent from the two Warriors, annoyed that they were being kept out of the fun) as the trio leapt out of cover and attempted to close the distance between them and the prey on the walls, while the two warriors levelled their weapons once more at the wall, firing to keep the Mon'Keigh on the walls suppressed long enough so that Wyches and Wrack were unmolested by enemy fire.
Derraesh herself would also join the charge, Terrorfex ready to

The Scourge on the other hand, merely nodded to confirm her own part in the battle-plan as Aeskeri continued to lay on the Dark Lance fire upon the Abomination, ready to take to the skies should it dare to get too close to herself, or decide that the other four Commorites were tastier than the one with wings.

As the makeshift transport thundered along the streets the warband finally found what they were searching for when they smashed through a gate and into a somewhat fortified outpost occupied by former guardsmen. "Throne what in his name is that!?" One of them that was wearing a stolen commissar hat yelled as he jumped out of the way. While the majority of what looked like guardsmen around him were still in a daze and another was dead and pined against a large rockcrete wall by the truck which had smashed through their meager defenses at full speed.

With the zombies dealt with and starting to fill the room up with a horrible smell the group of renegades started on their journey to the bottom of the skyscraper agian. After what seemed like forever they finally made it to the first floor of the building in relative peace exsept for the usual crumbling walls giving way and the ocational broken staircase. Upon arriving at the bottom they were greeted by hat remained of a lobby that once upon a time would be a bustling with servitors and techpriests doing their assigned duties to keep the tower at peak efficiency but now lays in shambles with cogitators lying on the ground with their screens smashed and chairs and other kinds of furniture broken int pieces and strung about the place. Dispite the mess the area seemed clear however and it was just up to the group where to go next.

    [101st Vostroyan Vistroyan Regiment @DeezNuts]
"575th Vastitas PDF Regiment sir, or at least what's left of it." The one that apeared to be the leader of their group said as he reached out and shook the commissar's hand firmly and the other two did the same. "If you're looking for survivors we wouldn't mind joining up with you sir. It would feel good to be lead by someone who truly knows what to do." The leader said looking to the other two guardsmen who nodded with a bit of hope in their eyes.

(OOC just got yourself three guardsmen feel free to name them if you want)

    [Ouroboros @GoreWrencha]
The group moved away from the scene quickly having not been noticed by either the mob or the cult and quickly found themselves walking along the clogged road ways filled with the decrepit remains of vehicles of all shapes and sized every now and then they would even seen crashed Valkyries and other such military vehicles but they had been picked clean long ago and only served as reminders of the long drawn out war which still unofficially rages out in the wastes with entire regiments finding themselves surrounded on all sides by both the creatures of the wastes and the hordes of cultists and more organized forces of chaos. Every now and then they could even hear the blasts of far off artillery barrages from beyond the wall to the west. They would continue this aimless wandering for sometime before they felt they had to rest as they made it to the edge of the industrial district, the sun still rising as the morning rode on.
  5. Thankfully they didn't run into anymore surprises on the way down the tower, though they didn't find anything of note either unfortunately. With there way clear and no real clear goal for them to follow, Solin pondered for a moment on possible avenues to explore in their area of the city. Most would be picked clean at this point, but perhaps there are still places either too remote or too secured for an average rabble to get their hands on. "We'll search the area and see if we can't find a local PDF barracks or Arbites outposts. If anything can weather in this situation and still have something worth taking, it'll be those places. Move out to the streets, combat spread, and keep an eye out on the windows above. I don't want to lose anyone to some lucky punk with a rifle got it?" he said giving them their new orders. They acknowledged crisply and began moving out in a more alert stance. They seen enough ambushes that start with a solitary shot of a sniper from one of thousands of windows of their urban environment.

Hainrich spending a short moment learned the names of the three guardsmen, Garret, Gabriel, and Romulus. They were younger men, barely in their twenties and much less experienced than Hainrich's own men, but thats not to say they didn't know their way around a lasgun, after all, they had survived this long. Pulling a few maps out from Boris' pack Hainrich would go about planning their next move, pointing out a weapons manufacturing factory. "We go here, if we're lucky the place has been picked clean for the most part and nobody is there anymore, that way we can just pick up the scraps nobody else has found without much hassle.

Looking to the surrounding squad members they all gave a nod, Hainrich now whistling to signal the men upstairs to come down. Waiting for them Hainrich would then proceed outside where they would begin moving through the alleys once again. Their formation remained the same as before, except for the fact that the three newest members were placed in the center as they would be able to support the front or back if they were attacked.

"WE HAVE COME TO WAR!" Gunther yelled as he jumped out of the truck Seth at his side as he rolled into cover. "WE HAVE COME TO BATTLE COMMISSAR MAY YOU MEN BE READY TO BE TESTED IN HIS NAME TO FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE AND THE SURVIVAL TO SEE ANOTHER DAY!" Gunther yelled at the commissar shots from the truck came as the warhound's began deploying from the truck only one staying inside,

Inside Theodas took out his sniper rifle and took aim at the guardsmen and aimed for unprotected parts of his body and fired.

Gideon began firing his stubber at the militiamen looking to pin and get them stuck in for the fight, While Doc Sheryl began letting out a flame between the guard and the war hounds to dissuade the gaurd from moving forward upon them.

Rin and Liza took cover near eachother Rin firing upon the Guardsmen with her crossbow and Liza with her autogun at the militamen.

Seth and Gunther were the closets to the action. Seth taking his staff in his hands began to smile as he looked out for a target for both he and Gunther, Beginning to channel his power into his force staff he began a attempt at using telekinesis to cause earth to rise from the ground and give them valuable cover to charge the leaders of the group the commissar. As this went on Gunther was chanting in what seemed to be a imperial lithany of war. He then pointed to the Commissar "MEET ME IN SACRED BATTLE COMMISSAR SO WE MAY ENGAGE IN THE HONORED DUEL OF WAR AND ONE GROUP MAY DOMINATE THE OTHER!" Gunther yelled

OOC Seth attempting to use telekiniess to raise earth from the ground to give Gunther and him a more secure way towards the self assumed commissar of the group, Gunther chanting Lithanites to his men now and challenging the commissar to a duel.

The newly "initiated" cultists with their new found zeal (aka lack of free will and inability to feel pain) made short work of the door by ramming a steel girder against it multiple times. As the door was finally smashed in ward creating a hole large enough for a man to slip through with relative ease the cult would quickly find the interior of the outpost in surprisingly good shape. Granted the place smelled of decay and was covered in dust but considering the condition of the surrounding buildings the place might as well be the planetary governor's palace. With their task done the "cultists" mostly just began wandering in what could be considered patrols around the outpost while those that still had control over their own minds searched the outpost for loot and useful salvage.

In their search they would find a closet and kicked in the locked door revealing the rotting corpse of an Imperial guard sergeant that was the source of the stench. The corpse itself was unidentifiable and was so decayed their uniform had fused with their skin, the only thing that identified the corpse was the markings on their shoulders. Upon further inspection the corpse appeared to be holding something in it's decaying and bony arms which gave off a faint blue glow. The corpse was cradling a plasma gun in it's arms a rare sight for most considering the more well equipped imperial forces either have already moved off planet or are trapped in the wastes. While taking the weapon off of the corpse they would also find a set of keys hanging on a peg next to the door. It could be assumed that these keys could unlock any door still closed within the outpost notably the armory. Which according to the memories of the newly admitted "cultists", which Remus had full access to, was fully stocked.

    [Equipment gained]
    +1 plasma gun

    [Armory added]
+Acts as a safe place to store equipment not currently being used
+All current Henchmen that weren't already equipped with standard weaponry will receive the following
    • 1x Autogun
    • 1x combat knife
    • 2x frag grenades
    • a suit of flak armor

The fight continued with Jurgan managing to act more quickly than Thane bringing the man to the ground with a powerful sweeping kick. Taken by surprise Thane was unable to counter the subsequent punch to the throat that knocked the wind out of him and had him grasping at his throat in pain. Thane stayed like this as Jurgan stood back up as if to announce his own victory as the zealot writhed on the ground in pain and gasping do to the sudden lack of oxygen.

The transport would continue rolling as they saw nothing of any real worth but those that could look outside had the feeling that something was watching them. Then again that was to be expected when driving such a large and loud vehicle through the streets of Sanctus showing that while there were definitely perks to having such a vehicle it also garnished unwanted attention. The group would have remain alert if they were to get out as the chimera presented itself as quite the prize to any scavengers brave or foolish enough to try to make a run for the controls once the crew exited.

    [Laughing Skulls @BuriasDempsey]
The band of renegades moved in their formation with purpose encountering nothing of note at first. In fact the streets seemed even more deserted than usual, the occasional sounds of distant gun fire fading into eerie silence. This silence would continue for a few more minutes until suddenly the roar of engines and hissing of pneumatic pistons and stranger still music replaced quiet. Sensing danger the group ran into a dilapidated building and hid from whatever was making it's way down the road. Within seconds the first vehicle made it's way into sight, a red quadrupedal insect-like walker with a long neck and mantis like head with a bulbous abdomen at it's rear walked over a wrecked civilian car and behind it a chimera with a dozerblade simply smashed the vehicle aside. The red paint and several chaotic markings painted all over both vehicles made it quite obvious the owners are worshipers of khorne.

Behind the chimera two banner bearing soldiers wearing crimson flak armor adorned with spikes and skulls and a skull shaped helmet covering their entire head came marching to the beat of the music which was growing ever louder, their banners were simple red cloth with a star of chaos with a mark of Khorne in the star's center. Behind the banner bears came the source of the music a large band dressed in similar uniforms carrying an array of musical instruments designed to be played while on the move a rather strange sight considering making so much noise was no doubt attracting raiders and scavengers from all around the area and would surly end with their deaths. However this idea was quickly banished into absurdity when behind the band came hundreds of heavily armed and armored soldiers wearing a heavier version of the band's armor, each one carried a heavily personalized lasgun pressed agianst their shoulders and had a variety of secondary weapons from knives and grenades to autoguns and laspistols. Indeed no two of these soldiers looked exactly alike but there was a clear discipline about them that set them far apart from the usual mixture of maniacs and looters normally seen walking through the streets.

After around five minutes of watching soldiers march by was clear it would take much longer for the force to pass than what was originally anticipated and the renegades snuck through the back of the dilapidated building they had taken cover in and entered the back alleys to avoid the admittedly confusing sight of an army marching through the streets as if on parade. When they took the time to discuss if what they just saw was real they also noticed a lonely corpse of a beggar leaned against the rockcrete wall it most likely wouldn't have much on it but still loot was loot.

(If you don't know who these guys are yet shame on you :p and here's the song they were playing because of course I'm using this as an excuse to post a Prussian march :D)

    [Warhounds @Vulpas]
Theodas managed to miss his target by a mile the bullet burying itself in a nearby wall rather than piercing the guardsman's skull. Gideon was more successful in his duty however and quickly suppressed the Militiamen forcing them behind cover tow of them were too slow and were quickly mangled by the heavy stubber fire. Then it was Doc's turn as she let loose a torrent of flame which managed to catch two of the guardsman setting their bodies ablaze and making them scream in pain as the fell to the ground attempting to put out the flames but to no avail the flames made short work of them as their screams faded and their bodies went limp as the smell of charred flesh filled the air. At the same time Rin and Liza took their own shots managing to graze a few of the Militiamen before the were forced into cover by Gideon.

Seth then sprung into action using his powers to make the earth crack and rise around them forming cover for the rest of the warband as Gunther was chanting at the self proclaimed commissar to face him in a duel. His effort however were to not avail as the man overwhelmed with a mixture of terror and will to live simply started running away firing his hell pistol at the warmongering leader missing every shot in his haste to flea.

8x Militiamen (Pinned down by stubber fire)

    [101st Vostroyan Firstborn Regiment @DeezNuts]
The Vostoyans and their new squad mates moved in formation until they came upon a came sight with eight people seated around a campfire from the previous night that is roaring yet again to cook the morning meals they managed to scrounge up form the surrounding ruins. They seemed to just be average citizens that managed to survive this long on determination and luck and were just enjoying the small moment of peace the morning brought. The sun rise was now slowing down as the morning dragged on further within the city that knew no complete peace as an army to the east made it's way to a ruined communications tower to found a new regional headquarters in the name of their dark god.
  10. without missing a beat the redemtionists started moving, not in offence, but leaving, let away by Avilex, who was more than a little disapointed in Thane, whom was simply dragged away by the collar of his robe by Pontius, his pain and struggles giving him no quarter in this group.
the only one to make a sound against the guardsman group was Danix who hissed through his seared ironmask, before following the small mob towards where faith let them, and where Thane would be sizable punished for his massive failings
