Few hours after waking up, the group of gritty survivors stands gathered at the ruined hab-blocks lobby. They have gathered their few, but necessary belongings and removed traces of their existence from the rooms they used during the nights. They stand ready to move, backpacks hoisted and Ulysses peeking from the doorway to the rubble covered streets. "Seems quiet. Looks like most of them are drawn by the commotion further on." There is no peace within the sky reaching walls. Eternal war and anarchy runs on the ruined streets, conflict igniting anywhere souls doomed to roam this city meet. Gunshots echo everywhere, shouts get muffled to noise, steel gives up with screeching sound. More trained ear can discern direction of source from the echoes, separate what happens near you and what is howling of death filling the void. There was fight going on within same borough. Highly likely that the mob from earlier came to contact with some other group. Nothing unusual. But there is something mixed in, an exotic sound distinguishing itself from the discorded cacophony. A Bolt weapon. Something more, something bigger, more organized, more powerful than mere mob of fearful people. A group that acknowledges its existence. Its power. It is self-aware of itself. They are more than mere mob of people. They are individuals. Those who come to understand that in this anarchy, chaos, are dangerous ones. They have regained their humanity. No longer they follow swarm behavior, but think themselves. Most dangerous creatures within Sanctus. They have desires and drive to follow them. Glances and nods between members, Ouroborous leaves the building and enters the streets. They begin to walk on loose formation, steadily and observantly. Boris and Ulysses on front, Ken and Twitchy on middle and Gilda and Leo keeping the rear. Celest follows twenty steps behind on ground level as the environment isn't fitting for her to creep the group from higher position. Moving from building to building would be too slow and risky, hab-blocks holding countless hiding spots. They aren't sweeping the area as they move to search for enemies or supplies. They are observing. Ouroborous reacts, not acts. Not to the current situation or sudden event before them. No, they are reacting to history. They have witnessed history, observed cycles happening again and again. They have seen events happening, observed them repeating, observed the alternatives in methods and outcomes. Yet, they have happened again. From these observations, witnessing of history, they choose their reaction. Everything has already happened multiple times within this city. It's doomed to repeat its actions. Like everyone else, their aim is to secure more supplies for themselves. No doubt these buildings has been scoured empty many times already. No place have been left upturned. One needs to forget traditional places and search for new generation's places, hideouts of previous plunderers. Abandoned hold-outs, forgotten stockpiles, collapsed cubbyholes. Some survivors leave small signs, trails of breadcrumbs, for themselves, for others. Of these Ken is going to take advance.
"Brothers and sisters, We have almost reached the city ready your weapons and your hearts, For today we continue our journey on the war path to salvation, Today we begin a new battle that will decide our fate, and today we wage war for the sake of war and the war god, Today we shall loot and pillage and grow! we shall through battle gain more strength, TO WAR!" Gunther yelled hoping to rile up his brothers and sister in battle Seth smiled as there truck rammed through the fence as he heard the sounds of weapons clicking and the back. As they pulled into the industrial district Gunther kept his eye out for targets valuable locations that would be good for first a safe house and next a good place to loot and gain followers for it they wanted to continue there war they would need a area to rest, A area to harvest supplies, and A area to gain more followers. Seth beside him kept his eye on the look out for mobs as Gunther drove by looking for a possible ditch location if they came under fire and needed to take cover quick and begin a fight they would need to have every advantage they could. The sounds from the back were the sounds of the crew getting ready in a small enclosed space and arguing over space and weapons being readied.
Hainrich came to a quick stop as he heard shots being fired from the south. On further inspection it seemed that there were even more Guardsmen remnants. However, in a city such as Sanctus Hainrich rarely trusted anybody. It was for this reason that he gave his orders "Vasily, move into the adjacent building with Mikhail and Anatoly and get ready for a fight, we'll need your eagle eye if lasguns start firing. Boris and I will move in closer to try and talk to these bastards, the rest of you find cover and give us covering fire if a fire fight starts". Watching as his squad acted as instructed Hainrich would nod towards Boris, and begin the slow approach towards the building. Moving from debris to debris Hainrich and Boris attempted to get close to the buildings entrance, just within twenty meters to be more precise. It was from here, hiding behind a destroyed vehicle that Hainrich called out "Imperial Guardsmen, are you friendly? We are here to assist!".
[23rd Sanctus Guard Remnants @Vanestus] As the squad went into action the raiders themselves fired at the civilians as the moved forward most of their rounds simply bouncing off the transport's armor doing nothing to those hiding behind it. The two guardsmen that had made their way to the truck had more luck with their aim however as they managed to bring down the majority of the raiders as their armor did little to protect agianst the fire of las weaponry. The formation of riot troopers with their sergeant firing his plasma pistol to the best of his ability hitting the last of the raiders in the head liquifying it. Their veteran on the other hand would have much less luck as her weapon refused to function only letting out a simple spark instead of the deadly beam of energy she was used to. All the while the civilians simply cowered behind their cover unsure whether the newly arrived guardsmen were a god send or were simply fighting to raiders to decide which group would get to kill them. (OOC the dice gods favor you now you can do what you want to the civilians) [Order of the Abyssal Darkness @Azathoth] The cult opened fire upon the mob with haste perhaps too much haste as most of their shot simply missed their targets and those that did hit only grazed their enemies. While their leader gathers warp energy the mob has most distantly noticed them and the ones that are not currently battering down the doors to the outpost begin moving towards the cult yelling insults and death threats. [enemies] 20x angry civilians 1x Imperial cult priest [Emperor's Holy Wrath @Grall_Stonefist and Valhallan 597th @Keidivh] As the redemtionists attacked the brute attempted to swing his club again in their direction but in his stupidity he let go of the clubs mid swing causing it to be sent flying to smash into the reinforced rockcrete walls of the factory causing no harm to the redemtionists. With the beast wide open the priest and his most zealous followers made short work of him with Danis delivering the finishing blow by thrusting his eviserator into the brute's chest obliterating it's heart and other vital organs causing the brute to fall over dead. It was then Pontius's shots rang out in the factory as he simply grazed one of the degenerates as they charged a newly arrived group of survivors. Meanwhile on the other side of the factory the squad of surviving valhallans put an end to the miserable lives of the degenerated quickly as their fire ripped through their un armored bodies before they even had a chance. (OOC alright do as you wish and maybe not try to kill eachother just yet )
The fight ended quickly, allmost too quickly, though he was not one to complain, it dident matter who killed the deviant mutants, as long as they wherent heretics or other foul scum. Avilex turned to see the soldiers that had needlessly aided them, though the Thane might be a bit flustered that he dident slay the mutant brute for the Emperor. "NAME YOURSELF, YOUR BELIEF AND VALUES" Avilex yelled to them, though he dident have his weapons raised, nor his mace crakling, this dident count for the rest, Robertus, Linia and Pontius having their weapons cautiusly raised at the oposing group, while Thane and Danix evicerators growled idly. "ADMIT YOUR SIN IF ANY BE PRESENT, THE REDEMTION OF MANKIND IS HERE."
[Wasteland Kings @bossaroo] As the mutants opened up the crates they would find that a good portion of the boxes held small luxury goods. Mostly just useless things like jewelry and fine clothing but a few of the crates held something different. One of them held several sets of flak armor that was painted black and another was full of lasguns and another held ammo for said weapons but the holy grail was found in the largest of the crates. An intact chimera seemingly fresh off of the assembly line loaded up with a multi-laser as it's main weapon along with a heavy bolter for a hull gun and six lasguns along it's sides. It was painted black like the armor and had the mark of some noble family who once owned the warehouse before the anarchy set in. [Items added] 6X lasguns 1X long las 7X sets of black flak armor Ammo for las weapons 1X intact chimera fully loaded with fuel and ammo (Yep rolled another 100 on one of the loot rolls but your guys are going to need to figure out how to drive it) [Derraesh's Reavers @Maleth] The trail of crucified bodies ended at a large makeshift wall made from piled up vehicles that were moved with a massive amount of brute force. The source of which made it's presence known with a monstrous roar as it climbed over the wall. An abomination in every sense of the word and it was massive and from within the wall fifteen lesser mutants emerged carrying a mixture of auto weapons and las weaponry. "Kill the normals!" One of them screamed as they began firing at the newly arrived dark eldar from positions on the wall. [Enemies] 15X mutants firing from cover on the wall 1X gigantic abomination [Warhounds @Vulpas] The warband of mutants would continue through the industrial district and be disappointed in the lack of resistance they find. Not a soul dared to come into sight of the war truck and most of the buildings the drove by were in ruins and would only provide very limited shelter and would most likely have nothing of value within. [Laughing Skulls @BuriasDempsey] The group opened fire onto the shambling corpses with ease given the corpses had no capacity to dodge or take cover but most notably the heavy stubber blasting away turned them into a green and red mush ending their miserable existences. The room they came from reeked of decay and going into it would probably result in fainting for someone not wearing a respirator or rebreather. [101st Vostroyan Firstborn Regiment @DeezNuts] Upon further inspection there were only three in the other group who all spear to be apart of a local regiment raised during the war rather than one that was brought in from off world. One of them that had ran into the building quickly ran back out carrying something and one of them turned to answer the commissar's question. "Of course we are sir especially with a commissar such are yourself in you midst. What brings you into this city?" He asks in a relaxed tone thanking the emperor that they found someone that wouldn't shoot them on sight. [Allies] 3X guardsmen [Ouroboros @GoreWrencha] The group would come across nothing of real use or significance as they wandered through the streets but they would hear a large amount of gun fire nearby and upon inspection it was revealed that a small but heavily armed cult was attacking the angry mob from earlier and not the greatest effect. It would be up to them to intervene or to use the confusion to try to get into the large outpost that the mob speared to be trying to get into without either group noticing. (Managed to wander into the same area as @Azathoth but neither group has noticed you)
(@TuskatheDaemonKilla the wasteland kings are my warband ....) Icthcyis had every grab a set of flak armor and he donned his own chuckling as jaeger braely managed to get hund and poyita to don the armor . He distributed the lasguns accordingly Tam smiling and laughing at his new sniper rifle Venuz had adorned himself with some of the jewlery as 'bling'. "How the hell we going to drive this boss ?" Kyko said gesturing to the chimera "i aint got an idea but load it with the ammo and yourselves Kyko , man the multi-laser. Everyone elseget on those las batteries . I'll try to drive this metal monster" Icthcyis entered the driver seat and waited till his warband was in Tam climbing in and taking control of the heavy bolter " FLASŸHN !!!!! "Icthcyis let put a war cry as he drove the chimera through the wall of the warehouse and into the streets of city " jest like driving a scrap harvester bac-" icthcyis was interupted as he smashed through some empty street barrels. "Gonna take some getting used to heh " ( OOC: here we go ! Finally out on the streets, now i just need to put hydraulics on the chimera )
Seth was looking on the outside of the truck as they passed through the streets of the industrial district he couldn't sense anything nearby nor see anything worth a good raid attack or conquer, "Ain't seeing anything boss, though likely when we do find something its likely gonna have a good fight to get it." Seth said as he put his head back into the truck. Gunther kept driving going down streets taking turns looking for something worthy of there first conquest. "We will find, something of war, we must stay to the quest if we are to succeed in war!" Gunther said as he kept driving and getting somewhat angry that they spotted no one while going down the streets. The others in the back were ready in there armor and continued waiting for there call and kept a look out for anything behind them.
@Grall_Stonefist Vail was relieved to see the degenerates be eviscerated in las fire, and was particularly glad she didn't have to fight them in close quarters. This joy quickly dissipated however as she heard the hollering and raving of the Redemptionist. Of all the fracking people to run into. Couldn' she have just found some cultists? Or a nice batch of zombies? She holstered her pistol and chainsword and walked ahead of her group, asides from Kolbe and Ellen, ensuring their shields remained in front of her. She put on her bravest front, and gave a casual smile. "Commissar Abigail Vail of the Valhallan 597th friend. My belief and heart lies with the glorious and almighty god-Emperor, and my values are his. Only sin I have is not getting to kill all the degenerates in here, but I suppose I must learn to share." Meanwhile her troops remained tense, none of them holstering their weapons. As far as they were concerned, this was just another mad band of murderers. They didn't know how right they were. Jurgen meanwhile prepared a fresh batch of Tanna while eating a sandwich he had procured from somewhere in his uniform.
Solin's face grimaced as the stench reached his nostrils, as well as the rest of the squad. Even from a distance most of them felt like evacuating their previous rations from their bowels and no one seemed willing to go further in to see if there was anything useful in the room. "Holy frack, how in the warp do they stink so bad." Janice said as she put a rag to her face. "Almost makes me regret mulching the damn things, almost." Bruce chuckled before retching a little. "All of you quit your bellyaching, just be glad their dead now." Shelia told them as they moved out of the room and to the hallway once more so they could at least breath. "That was definitely not normal infections or decomposing process happening to those bodies sir. I suggest either we burn the corpses and see if that alleviates the smell from the air or return here once we have appropriate gear." Secias spoke up, giving her opinion based on her knowledge on the matter. Solin nodded in acknowledgement to Secias before he spoke. "We won't waste the flamer fuel on this, if we happen to find gasmask or something we might return and see if there was salvage in there. For now move out and continue clearing out this tower. There is bound to be more threats in this damn place." he said as they started moving in formation again, a slight grumble from Janice who was looking forward to burning the corpses and getting back at the smell.
