Imma tell you a story....a story 'bout me Rokkit Launcha. Wunce upon a time, three big-dakka Space Marines were sittin' in a hallway, shoosting at me and me boyz with their 'eavy guns and plasma. Well I wusn't havn' any of that, so I screamed "I'M CHARGIN' MY ROKKKKIIIIIII...", walked around the corner just before me rokkit went flyin' and BOOM, hit the magic spot right in the middle of 'em. Three humies go flyin' in all of the directions, one of the most beeautiful sights I eva' did see. We took point A that day, and it was good. Oh yeah, and it kills vehicles good if you slap a Super Stikky Bomb on 'em first (when they actually stick, and when they don't float in the air, and their metal bawkses aren't movin'). Super Stikky + 3 Rokkits to the back is a remedy for all 'da tanks.
I declare dat me rokkit launcha iz lucky. I painted it blue, an' now it always hits! Granted, some uv da toime it ain't da enemy but utha orks whut gets blown ta bitz. But I sez dat runnin' in front of an ork pointin' a rokkit launcha is dumb yoof stuff. An' I want dat skip launch ayou wuz talkin' about. Sounds like roight fun!
Picked up a rokkit launcha from the 5k box last night. There's your answer. Also I'm still unsure where the power of the rokkit should be. It is on a capper, it can make infantry one hit multikills, and you do get the knuckles and slugga (and of faction starter pistols, orks have the best) with it. Countered against the accuracy forcing you into melta range but without the vehicle speed kill. It's such a pain to use, but there's a lot of pluses compared to other faction tank hunters.
Just got it out of a 12k box, so I'm gonna try it out in a couple matches and see hot it performs. Just from trying it out in the Garrison it fires so much faster while still having a real quick reload. I could see someone easily running through all the ammo on it, might actually make ammo packs worthwhile!
Anyone else seeing issues with the rokkit right now? Prior to release it had a decent activation and was somewhat accurate, even with the zany corkscrews, now it takes longer it feels like and almost seems bugged when it first starts launching. Maybe it's just me on that last part though, I'll have to text more extensively in the field
it's immensly inaccurate, its damage to vehicles is negligable, the aoe is tiny in comparison to other explosive weaponry (and especially tiny compared to its visuals) and the charge up makes it almost unusable. At least it's not the skip launcher, which is literaly impossible to hit with and shares about all the listed negative/inferior perks with the rokkit launcha.
People Walking in front of rokkits has made it almost unusable on some maps, The Charge up needs to go I'd happily have a massive reload time if that went.
