“Just.... admiring the architecture” with this his vision left its roaming and solely focused on Argyle. His gaze fixed on the fellow Astartes, boring deep into his soul. And then the look ended. Grythan started picking at the paint of the arena seating as if he had nothing better to do.

“I met this most boorish fellow in the armoury and went looking for something a bit more stimulating. Perhaps I have found it here.” A slight gesture to the arena highlighted his words.

“So you decided to chase the little cultist onto this ship then, why would someone like you” A muscular finger lazily pointed towards Argyle “do such a thing as that then?”

"I've noticed the Technophiles can have a habit of grating on those who don't get their kicks humping plasma generators or oiling up the barrel of an auto-cannon. Anyways, which cultist do you speak of? The robed Gnat that Krax ended up mauling his tailing admirers? I'm not even aware of who or what he is honestly, I came on word of recruitment after a dry spell without any worthy quarry for Khorne. Frankly if he wishes to cause me trouble I'll fight but till then? I don't intend to get myself shot up just because one little Witch is scurrying about, sweet an offering it would be I think I'll do far better in the long run keeping my head squarely on my shoulders. " Despite the edge of arrogance it seemed he at least had the common sense to ordain he wasn't equipped to just go and kill where he pleased, perhaps if apotheosis ever became a reality but till then, best play it smart.

    ~~ Prison near Bridge ~~

The Eldar grabbed the Astropath by both hands as he took the book and stared him intently in the eyes, washing him over with the eyes of torment and terror the Eldar went through himself, how he was skinned, said skin was forcibly regrown through their biology, scars inscribed on his very bones and more. As if trying to ignite sympathy upon the Human but..... There was more to it.... It was a lie.... It all.... The Astropath knew this Eldar has not gone through such torture!

The Eldar lied to him! The sound of the book falling on the ground brought the Astropath back to reality and then he saw the true face of the Eldar.... He was starved, it was his last power in attempt to manipulate the human how he wanted, to betray his new lord and master and commander-in-chief on the long run... But he made one mistake. That the Astropath was more than just a telepath. He was experienced in combat with other Psykers and could see through weak facades like these. Sure would the Seer be at his strength, he could overcome the Astropath. But in this condition?

The Aliens fate was at the Astropaths mercy who could even grasp for the very soul of him. And said Astropath also knew that despite that he knew the prior visions were fake... He would need time to wash them out of his system. Alien memories even if false were for now imprinted upon his mind.

OOC: You can manipulate his very mind from here as you wish.

“Interesting.... Interesting” Despite not look the least bit interested in the conversation.

“And did your conversation with that Commissar tell you what type of skulls you would be cleaving, beyond” a casual glance towards the dead Eldar's head was cast. “That worthy sacrifice there or are we slaying in this dingy hall until they run out of prisoners?” Despite his arrogance you notice that you never truly leave his line of sight.

“I know that we are not the first hired thugs on this particular excursion, and that psyker cultist was accepted remarkably quickly” Grythan lent back his paint peeling finished. He admired his gauntlet.

“And this little group regularly captures exotic creatures as well as xenos.” The statement is left hanging in the air, the obvious assumption is that Argyle will interrupt.

Argyle allowed the Emperor's Child to speak to his hearts content, more than a handful battles within a stately court room had left him with a surprising amount of patience and he knew better than to just waltz on in whenever he pleased in an engagement of equals. "A worthy sacrifice? You're too kind to it, pageantry for the rabble there. They do love their victors it seems. As for what we'll be doing? I"ll assume most terribly violent things to those servants of the Corpse Emperor of course. A million ways to wage a war, a million specifics I don't wish to waste my breath covering when we both know them well enough yes? " Argyle upheld his constant air of interest actually bothering to maintain appearances right now, as if they were engaged in polite conversation over a fine vintage of wine overlooking the Fields of Summer beyond his former abode so many years ago, rather than standing in a blood soaked sand pit within a decrepit vessel of war.

“You are quite correct, a thousand terrors against the fools who reject Chaos and so on and so on.” Grythan leant forwards

“but the triumphs of the past are not what interest me, it is the triumphs of...” his gaze strayed towards the fighting arena for just a moment before returning to his bored state. There is a slight crack in his facade and you get the distinct impression that perhaps he isn't as bored as he is pretending to be.

“tomorrow, that interest me.” Grythan licked his lips. Running his tongue over a nasty scar that caught the edge of his mouth.

“So, what now? Shall we travel this flee-ridden mess to discover our prey? Or shall head to find refreshments? Or perhaps you'd prefer to stay here and continue your showmanship?” a wiry smile appeared at the idea.

"Alas the official fighting has all been closed down, my- our possible audience has retreated to their stations. However..." An arm spread out in an aggrandizing gesture with open palm to his left and bladed clenched in the right. " I am more than willing to entertain a spar. " Spotting a break in the facade of disinterest Argyle attacks it with all the ferocity of a fellow noble falling upon a poorly worded taxation revision. Yet after a moment his stance would relax blade coming to rest squarely against his right pauldron. "Or we can go seek out amusement elsewhere, I've little doubt I've much to do sitting in whatever brig they call a guest room here, you? " Wry smile was returned with a smirk.

OOC: “Poorly worded taxation revision” *Snigger*

“A spar with you, would bore me” The staggering arrogance of Grythan seeps into that statement. Its intent as an insult appears to be to incite reaction.

“The guest room would seem suitable for the moment. Perhaps meet some fellow thugs on our way.” Continuing smiling. Grythan knew he would get along famously with Argyle.

"OHHH! " Argyle clutched an armored hand to his heart and cast his head skyward. "How you wound me so Grythan, and here I thought I had moved you with my displays of common sense in combat. Alas..." As overwrought and dramatic as an upstart actor on opening night under the illusion they were actually doing well rather than hamming it up. "But yes I must say lets go find out what the rest of our company looks like shall? Separate the peasantry from the knights as it were. " Stowing away his blade within its scabbard he gestures toward the arena exit. "Lead on, you've such a way with words I'll allow you to announce my arrival. "
  10. Nurianis Nurianis Subordinate

“Announcing your arrival.” Grythan noticed the obvious jest and brushed it off glibly “I need do no such thing. Your stench is more than sufficient” Clasping Argyle's shoulder with one hand as he laughed and walked towards the exit. Using the schematics he attempted to memorise earlier he starts striding towards the guest room.

“So where do you come from Argyle? It is unusual to find one such as yourself around here.”
