So been away on work since mid December and due to be back this week properly (took me like 2 hours to load this page up) and decided to ask whats happening whats new and what not? last thing i remember is orks getting new pirate hats and pants before Speshmarines whining about grav gun not being too strong or summit like that they fix I-Frames yet? they fix that stupid thing where you can dodge/jump out of a dbash? also they fix that dumbbug where plasma cannons could charge there shots while sprinting? basically im asking if anything has been fixed and if anything is.....broke well....more broke anyway but most importantly........ have they made our WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! better? Nuttin lik a gud WWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
well, de space marines got about 6 or so new grav gun variants, um... what else? OH they made ork animations less cumbersome, we actually turn in place rather then doing a slow banking turn, we also actually sit down when crouched behind cover... um... rtc weapons were given upgrade options, like the tracy shoota, we got a targeting squig, plasma cannons arent near as bad as they were. ... I'm sure theres more... oh also campain events are a thing now, check that out when u can, just missed one actually, they reward participents with rtc.
A lot of things have changed yet nothing has really changed. The game still suffers from most of the same problems it suffered from back in December though now we are at least getting a LP/Survival and weapon balance pass. The orks have had the least changes since December with only a few small animation tweaks and a few small nerfs to rokkits besides that we're untouched. LSM have had nearly everything they whined about addressed be it a nerf to another faction or a buff to others. The plasma cannon got nerffed and finally feels balanced. Eldar I find the least fun to fight but most say they are "ok" though their roadkill potential is insane and to be addressed in the future. Auto cannons getting the nerf bat next patch due to QQing about it being overpowered and the stalker bolter is becoming a mini auto cannon for the LSM. Chaos is getting plague grenades. There are 3 maps in the works we've seen 1 play tested on UAT the other 2 no info on yet. The campaign is in and working though it's just a glorified bean counter that rewards you for tossing in a few beans. All in all most of the QOL and additions have been given to the LSM while the other races have gotten minor tweaks to animations and small polishing and that's about it. A few ork guild are on break from EC due to a few different reasons from lack of progress to feeling as if the devs show favoritism to the LSM. The general ork community hasn't really changed attitude wise it's still amusing to play with them. All in all nothing has really changed.
Well since today's update it won't trigger on when you're defending places with tickets, but that's it. Overall the Orks have seen maybe 25% (made-up stat) of the love shown to LSM/CSM. A lot of veteran players are getting salty about it (including myself now) to the point that many have taken a break, though the Ork community overall is still fun and amusing. Oh and today they nerfed out most useless gun: the skip launcha.
