Marcellus's convoy soon reached the gates It was just now 3 Carriages left his one apprentices and one other storing supply s other carriages had broke off dropping of apprentices at there home villages, delivering needed weapons or dropping of the trained black smiths ready to start there careers in the world. the three last carriages soon approached the gate. "We will need to check your carriages." one of the guards said as they wen't to each carriage the until they came upon the last one carrying the Ash Father. As the guard looked up to search the caravan he noticed the ash lord and yelp. "My lord If I had know you had been coming. I would have immediately had let you in. I apologizes deerly I do." the man said bowing to the Ash Father. "You have no need to bow to me or call me your lord nor do you need to apologize. Though since your here Could you tell me if the others of my kind have past through here?" he asked the man looking at him with a smile. "Yes Ash father They have Two walking legend have past through the red wave and the wise one of the forest Also Lord Cadras is at the Tavern waiting for you and the two others have entered the city." The guard said standing up. "When we enter the city could you take me to them?" the Ash Father asked Yes yes sir!" The guard responded then waving them in. "Could we come With you to meet the ancients ones?" Asked Roberta "I can allow that but when we leave this city you are to stay on your own path the quest we are heading on will be a dangerous one and putting your lives in danger is not apart of my teachings. Marcellus responded back as there carriage entered the city soon they came to the Merchant Road where Marcellus departed with his anvil and 3 apprentices. "Alright sir if you follow me they should be this way." said the guard as he began leading them to the tavern.
With a hard slam, the door was thrown open. The lack of light in the darkness held the figure hidden for a second, until Cadras's super human eye could see who was there. With his helmet in his hand, The Red Wave stood still, looking back at the other Giant. The whipping of his cape almost blocked out all other noise of the Tavern. "It has been a long time. Too long. I remember you as wiser man, but you drink in one tavern. I would think you need to come in contact with a mighty Space Wolf to figure out the trick of... drinking." Karr said in a serous voice. Karr chuckled to himself soon after and moved forward, slightly crouched to fit himself in the doorway. He approached the other Astarte and offered a hand. Testing if he still remembered the universal greeting of the mighty Legions.
Some things could never be forgotten.Things like reflex and instinct. They could be dulled by time...but never forgotten. When the doors slammed open,Cadras fought the instinctive response to leap up and pull his seismic hammer to the fore.Indeed who would be foolish enough to attack him here? The black, intimidating figure stood at the doors (almost shattered doors that is),luckly his, almost beastial face, was illuminated by a torch from the hall, even tho if the figure filled the entire door frame.Cadras smiled at the kinsmen words. It was not the context only...but the memories it brought and the very voice of the fellow Astartes. "And i remember you as a warrior....such flail-work.And what drags to the local tavern?A glorified village-militaman."spoke in the deep voice Cadras as he stood up from the table. He picked his words carefully, lest he baits his kin...Karr?Karr!...into unfathomable rage.He remembers well when the Orks did it... Meeting his eyes,Cadras saw that Karr found peace...even if temporarily.Over the many years Cadras spent at his Anvil in the Iron Basilicca,he was not blind or deaf.People talk. And there was more then one rumor from village that Karr was.It bode ill. Thats why in his eye-pearls,Cadras also saw, like he always saw in the burning coal of the forge,in those black embers...a raging inferno at its core. Nodding to his kinsman,he looked at the offered hand and then with a smile,he hit his chest with a clenched fist, like the Legionnaires of old did it.For the first time after a long time,Cadras felt something stirring deep inside of him,but he ignored it.He tempered it...with his will as the hammer. "Dominum Imperator!"spoke Cadras, vigour and passion in his voice, tho he spoke it more out of the instinct then out of pleasure...regretting it instantly, infront of Karr.Cadras rarely showed any emotion, his face more as a carving of some mountain-side then a face of a transhuman that conquered an entire galaxy...or lost it,depends on the point of view.Regret was the only thing left...but he did not show it. Releasing his fist,he gestured to the metal chairs that were prepared infront of a giant table in the far end of the room.It was to be a feasting table.More are to come...
OOC: I won't post until you actually DO disembark and/or inquire local rumors to fix some problems. Giving you time to socialize. Will intervene with progress post if I see that this socializing (once again) causes pure stagnation. But I love what I read so far, awesome writing guys! (Even you @Vulpas which positively surprises me to a huge degree, always knew you got creative writing skills on par with the others here )
As The Ash Father was lead to the bar he could already see one of his companions entering it as the Guard finished leading him to the tavern he thanked the guard then approached the tavern's door he could already see inside two old friends greeting each other. He approached letting his steps make a sound as he entered. "Hello Brothers its been a long time." He said as he entered his two apprentices behind him. While a smile was crossed his face as he approached the two fellow Astarte like him. The robed armored Blacksmith Entered letting letting his steps make noise as he wen't With a smile broke across his ash stricken face with his beard and grey hair breaking with some detail along with his emerald eyes. He extended his hand in friendship as he saw the his hold companions ready to greet them with the universal greetings of the legions OOC sorry I have to cut this one short have to head to school
OOC:Waiting on @Xaphen to respond before continuing the socialization.Cadras wants to ask a few questions his kin. (with eating and drinking of course...)
Karr pulled back his hand and smiled. He repeated the same greeting and spoke up. "Interesting phrase, you will have to tell me more about it sometime." Karr said in a sarcastic tone, before winking at the smith. "We will have others coming, excuse me if I am here too early, but the filth of the Sorcerer was sensed behind me and I doubt the other smith will be missing. We all know why we are here. Let us speak about it when they arrive." Karr told Cadras in a serous voice, as he moved to the chair presented to him. Sitting down now, Karr's brown eyes scanned to the room. Even now he was looking for something that could prove to be a threat. So he may have the honor of killing it. It has been a very long time since he had seen other humans that did not belong to him. The Butcher's Nail was already increasing some of his aggression at just the prospect of a fight, but like always. Karr kept it down.
"Maybe i will someday..."spoke Cadras as he moved to the table. The table itself was circular, with no head and no back, thus showing that all of those that sit at it,are equal. When the Ash Father appeared on the doors,Cadras nodded to his kinsman as the latter legion saluted.Approaching to the ash-smeared Astartes,Cadras grabbed his forearm, reckognizing him as his brother and fellow builder. "It is good to see you."spoke Cadras as he gestured at the table where Karr was already.Moving behind the Ash Father,Cadras strided slowly,as if his every step is perfectly calculated motion. "Yes...the letter.I reckon you all have received it."spoke Cadras as he drew a piece of paper from his leather gauntlet, reading it once more as he sat between Karr and Ash Father. "Let us not waste time with fancy words."added as if tired,Cadras tossing the letter on the table. "Something stirrs in this word.Something foul.It has stricken Adraur and probably whole of Adra.I heard bad things happening even outside of this city.I heard about your village Karr.Is it true? The miscarriages? The crops dying?"spoke Cadras as he shot a quizzical glance toward Karr. "This puzzles me the most.I have never heard of this name.This...Hyrtakuvizius."spoke Cadras the writters name with a eloquence of one who read the letter many times. "It is not a native name.At least not in southern parts..."trailed off the Iron Warrior as he looked to his two kinsmen. @Xaphen @Vulpas
Karr nodded to the other. He did not remember this one as well as Cadras, but his appearance was unforgettable. He really did not remember any of them too well. He has dealt with many challenges during his life that came after the mighty battle with the Green skins. He only truly remembered one, one who died for his people. One he would never forget. "Sadly, yes." Karr replied. He sighed and then continued. "In a hundred years we will have less than a handful of men. In two hundred I will be left alone...if I live that long." Karr looked down in sadness. He had his people since they were wild tribes, then to a small trading village, and then to a Warriors guild of village proportions. He was proud of his work and loved his people. Their culture, will, and strength had slowly grew on him to where he considered himself one of them. From God, to legend, to leader, Karr has grown with the people for many millennia. And unlike his father, he cared greatly for their well being. This plague would eventually put everyone and everything he had worked on to waste. As much as he would hate to admit it, Karr was scared. Scared of not having a purpose. After several moments, Karr slammed his fist into the table. A angry face now taking hold. "Yes, I received this in my room, lying on my head. To get that close would require more than anyone of this world would dream of. It must of been sorcery! And that damned Thousand Son has dabbled in those arts for years! He is also not here, who is to say that the warp has not completely Corrupted his mind. The Name is especially not from the east either." Karr said in a harsh tone. He kept his voice low to only the others could hear. He had no idea who was watching or hearing. Maybe even the same that had placed the letters.
@lord-watchman OOC: Just little reminder since he was mentioned I know he said he would be gone for a while, but I don't exactly when or if he is already gone.... xD
