Regarding Elder Gameplay Style And Mechanics

  1. If there were two buldings close together maybe they would jump from one building to the other to get higher, if you see what I mean?

Personally think it would be bad to give them something that would rely on the map design.

You could still add it up for when it will be useful. It doesn't hurt.

Yes. This has been my view all the time.
But it would not be bad as a secondary thing.

Eldar are more agile than humans but they can't wall run, or double jump or stuff like that, they are not as bluky as the marines but half of the eldar classes use heavy armour, I don't see a Striking Scorpion or a Dark Reaper wall runing, you can make them agile without acrobatics, faster recover time after rolling, being knocked down or staggered for example, the movement animation will probably be the biggest impact in make them look agile.

I would simply make then move faster, maybe a 20% movespeed bonus compared to other races which would allow to also jump 20% faster, this would make sense and allow for an easier time manouvering in city.

However as fast as they are I would lower their stammina compared to marines, a marine beats eldar in a long distance race because they can keep the same rythem for days without tiring, so marines can sprint forever. While eldar can sprint for a bit, but be reaaaally fast in the procces.

So to sum it up, make eldar able to make explosives burst of movement for quick repositioning, whilst keeping their total overland speed the same as a marine

    My 2 cents

I agree with the move speed bonuses and jump speed bonuses. Though I actually wonder who would have more Stamina, I do understand that Space Marines have two hearts and all the rest of it, but i've really never read anything about Eldar physiology. Any references for lack of stamina^^?

Nowhere in the books is anything said about stammina (that I know of, atleast) however eldar are suppoused to be pretty athletic in general, and in "the path of the warrior" they are shown to be able to recive pretty hard physical training without needing conditioning or training before hand, so in my opinion I would say an eldar ranks in stammina alongside a human athlete, with aspects being on an olympical level.

However compared to space marines, who are hulking masses of muscle, two hearts, three lungs, and an exo-scheleton that powers their every move and administers stimulants as needed . . . in the deathwatch core book they are said to be able to go for 2 weeks without any sort food or water before starting to be afected.

So whilst eldar do in fact have very good levels of staminna (by human standards) they simply cannot compare with the superhuman might of a space marine.

Or atleast thats the way I see it.

In game terms you could make eldar be 20% faster or something, and have them sprint faster than marines (proportionally to their base speed), but last less while doing so, while marine sprint is slower, but on the other hand lasts more, that way you could have that feeling of agility as you dart across the battlefield in insane burst of speed whilst not being totally overpowered compared to the Astartes, in movement speed anyway.

I would say lower strength rather than lower stamina. Space Marines could get a stamina boost to show their extra organs. Orks could get bonus strength and Chaos share with Space Marines?

So i've been wondering lately.. how on Terra the devs intend to implement Rune Armour. I mean basically it's Armour imbued with psychic/magical protection. I've already mentioned the potential applications of an Invulnerable Save but we have no idea how that is going to be implemented in regard to the THQ Space Marine style of play (a health bar with rechargeable shield bar). Are Invulnerable saves going to increase the shield bar and Armour be responsible for damage mitigation?

Thoughts, specifically thoughts regarding just how the devs could tackle Rune Armour for all the Warlocks out there?
