    Players i come with a suggestion that i got while doing yardwork.
    BUT FIRST: i apologise in advance for bad grammar and things as such.
    WARNING this is only a suggestion so please no flames or salt just constructive
    criticism.

    After you hit max rank they could put some little action filled intro with ending line:
    "This is where war trully starts."
    And then put few features that will make you gamer mind acutally ok with them.

    1. You get a little overall stat boost everytime you hit rank 6 (ooo an actuall small level up? okay i am listening)

    2.Weapon&gear crafting (wut? how?) where ya get random blueprint for standard gear and weapons that stat-wise are better then ones you bought/have ONLY after 10 games (...ok but what about resources and the things that you need for craft?) and the resources will be awarded in humble amount BY WON GAME.

    Plus you need to play 15 for the next buleprint then 20 for the next one and 25 for the next one.

    3.Perks purchases and unlocks (ok now yr getting weird) that you pay by advancement points (oh?) and it will be veary costly (oh.....) while unlocks will be for specific actions and weapon kills (so grinding?) that will get you small bonus for handling, attack speed and such (so it's kinda like wpn mastery gotcha).

    4. Hidden pick ups on the maps(really?) that will get you little boost, regen or extra shield (hmmm maaybe?)

    I want this played upon reaching level 6 each time.



    And balloons and party streamers and stuff. Just in the middle of a match, everybody stops, music comes on party bangers and balloons go off, every one dancing something like that. Music ends match goes on. Make it happen.

    Also would be nice if Nathan personally rang you up to say congratulations.

    Unlocking everything over again sounds horrible...

    But unlocking more cosmetics for longer playtime in an absolute yes. Looking like you've been around for a long time is fantastic. Nothing is a better motivator in a game than bragging rights.... either through some sort of recognizable rank or something visual.

    I'm looking forward to unlocking the golden power sword for my JPA veteran :D
  4. I remember when FPS style games(which this basically is) didn't have any progression and yet people dumped hundreds of hours into them regardless without whining about "not enough end game content".

    Nathan would probably tell you what I'm about to tell you...
    • MoCap for the dance moves and the model rigging is expensive
    • Music licensing is expensive
    • Games Workshop probably wouldn't approve it
    He does seem like the kind of guy that would congratulate you personally though. Let's test that, @Oveur I have reached level 6.

    Prestige is the laziest attempt at "end-game" you can think of.

    I already said it in the other thread, this is the worst possible form of an "endgame" you can come up with. Even industry giants like Ubisoft and Blizzard tried and stepped away from resetting anything and just offer you the "grind till forever" approach.

    In EC redoing all your loadouts, all your advancements and all your supplyboxes for a cosmetic shoulder/Chest/helmet? Hardly worth it and will not keep people resetting over and over again. This game doesnt even offer you a place to show your cosmetics and once your enemies turn down their gfx settings you will be the bland marine anyways. How many cosmetics do you even need in EC? I mean everyone has his/her favourite set but will you really dress up 10 different tacticals? Especially if the cosmetics are really medicore and just reskins. Not my understanding of fun.

    I remember when FPS style games weren't broken and had all their promised features on release so they were fun enough to be worth dumping hundreds of hours into them.

    ESO's champion system where you get to continue to build your character and improve their stats incrementally and in ever decreasing amounts should be the way to go, each level up you get to choose to increase melee dam, movement speed, sprint speed weapon spread or other stats by 1%, then 0.5%, then 0.25 percent and so on per level gained and so on for ever through the ever higher levels. Kind of pointless and has very little impact on the match but makes the character unique and personal and is fun in an ever grindy kind of way.

    Much better than a reset. This prestige idea is atrocious.
