I've been into 40k for as long as I can remember. I've played the tabletop, the video games, the roleplaying games. I've played as many different races and beings, but I seem to favor the Dark Angels most of all (as you can tell from the title of the thread). I'm excited to play the game and finally have a game that satisfies all of my nerddom in one massive universe.
You should get in touch with either the xDAx or the war eternal DA If you want to join a DA faction (guessing you do) Take a look at the xDAx recruitment thread and the war eternal recruitment threads to help you make your choice. Both groups follow the lore to an extent so if you care about that then you're covered. The xDAx however are more active if you play Space Marine on Xbox 360. There are things said about each group by other groups out there. Lots of shit talking. Lots of rumours. Lots of bullshit. Lots of false claims and accusations. The best I can say is talk to the members of each and if at all possible play with them too and make your own mind up on what to and what not to believe. Other than that welcome to the party.
