Well, play banshee for black power sword. For more penetration, the mod exists, if you feel like you need it, then equip it, you'll have 2nd highest penetrating weapon in game that isn't AT dedicated.
Sadly the Howling Banshee doesn't suit my playstyle. That black powersword though ... my anus is clenching at the thought.
Could have something to do with that 400 LP price tag for MC power swords and the 400 LP price tag for all named power swords for LSM. That and the utterly ridiculous 100 LP price tag of the underwhelming life leech mod and the minimal stat boosts from the 50LP damage mods for all melee weapons. Meaningless you say? I'd have to disagree. -What if the MC bolter was priced at 400 LP? -What if the CQB barrel cost 100 LP? -What if the Drum Mag cost 100 LP? Not so meaningless now.
I dreamt of the black powersword last night. I was in an intense one on one duel but I lost and my opponent plunged his massive black powersword deep into me. It felt violating but also somewhat arousing at the same time. In the Emperor's glorious name!
Lifesteal mod being kinda mediocre is only really a problem for LSM and certain classes in other factions MoK can stack with the 10% LL mod Banshee's can also stack with LL mod Orks also have some kinda LL things they can stack iirc
That doesn't change the fact that the 100 LP Life Leech mod is both underwhelming AND extremely overpriced . Especially when we examine the prices of the powerful 30 LP drum mag and the extremely strong 50 LP CQB barrel. Both extremely powerful bolter mods combined cost 20 LP LESS than the underwhelming LL mod! It's beyond comprehension why and how these blatantly obvious LP pricing imbalances have been allowed to persist for so long.
It gets complicated tho do to asymmetrical balance. Like say you change the Lp value of LL mod down to 50 Lp from 100 lp Then there is also a lot of "other" wargear from orks, eldar and chaos that's have their LP cost balanced around the the games LP value of Life Leech in general . This would mean that you would basically need to reduce their LP cost as well Which isn't a problem for most things like Retributive spirit stone would just get cheaper . healy syringe would get ist LP cost lowered accordingly asswell etc But than you hit MoK... which has to cost 150 points so you would need to buff that with an additional "other stat" like Hp. So doing this would basically buff every factions melee across the board ..which would be a very bold move ..especially right after a melee dps buff patch Ppl gonna complain probably that melee is getting to much love.
