Well, as someone who only started to play after receiving the F2P key in Steam, I think I'm gonna stick around for a while. I've had quite a bit of fun so far, and I think I've won about 90% of the matches I was in. But (in the absence of what I'd actually like to play) I'm also primarily playing Orks. I have a hunch it'd look much worse on the LSM side, because the problems with this faction's popularity, which were already talked about long ago, were multiplied with going F2P. This is pretty much an unavoidable problem, though; you'll just have to "tough it out" until all those new players have either learned to play better or left again. This may sound harsh, but Space Marines are the poster boys of the franchise, and with the "invincible hypermasculine power fantasy" they're radiating thanks to decades of focus in the fluff, they are going to draw some of the most problematic players, the no-chills, the try-hards and the ragequitters. And I say that with my only other character in EC being a Space Marine, too. But when I as a noob can get into the top 3 players in a LSM match with barely three days of experience under my belt, whilst with Orks I tend to hover somewhere in the middle, something is off. And it's not the balance, but rather the lack of coordination and how easily some LSM players get demoralized. Fortunately, I've also seen some really cool LSM players during the few matches I played with them so far, but the tone in the chat feels very, very different from the laid-back silliness that is the Orks, and I think this rather than the quota of wins/losses is what will have the most effect on new players. I still agree that limiting the ability of large premades to play against PUGs should be a no-brainer, though. Matches like those are never fun in any game; I've seen what they can do in Mechwarrior Online. - Killboy Grimchoppa, Rank 3 Bad Moons Shoota Boy - Valerian, Rank 2 Ultramarines Tactical
RTS or bust seems to be WH40K sadly (hope inqusitor can change that) As for FPS of WH40K they seem to need a lot of time, money and development that funders (bandi and other companies) just dont seem to give them time to do or take the risks.
The thing is, I'm still seeing a lot on low-level accounts playing. I think the new players being "noobish" are cutting into the veterans that can't handle the frustration The older players may work their way back in once they feel like the noobs might have gotten a better handle on things, or have quit themselves out of frustration.
Look at it this way at least he didnt keep shooting you even when both of you were down or that he didnt throw a nade at you both when you two where fighting. I know it dose not help much but at least ie means that player has a chance to learn but ya i find my self fighting more and more near edges of a fight or doing things solo in fear of being team killed when playing shoota and sluga equivalents.
Thats totally normal after crusade finished. Especially lots of veteran player waiting for weekly update and new campaign right now.
Not sure what the best part about that clip is: 1.) Trying to kill steal the finish on the downed guy to get that sweet, sweet +20 while denying me my 100 2.) Killing an ally out of greed 3.) Not helping up the ally they downed 4.) Trying to take the execute on someone else's kill
The answer is always 5: watching you bleed out until your nearly dead and then leaving as if he could not have done anything.
Dat bloke be rude, no doubt 'bout dat Iz usually kill downed blokes befer I revive an ork ta' avoid accidentally executin' dat enemy ratha' than gettin' da ork, and in case I also get downed by anuvva' enemy wut comes by while gettin' dat ork up. I'd ratha' make sure dat enemy be dead so dey can't be brought back since it only takes a few shots wit' a slugga while I be runnin' towards da downed ork ta' make sure dey be krumped gud
I kinda meant for #3 to include that, but I think I'll go with saying the video just encapsulates the teammates I'm not to happy to have on my team. The thing is, there are people that play like they are new to EC, and then there are people who play as if they have never played a game before at all and can't figure out things like being careful about friendly fire and such.
