no thats because all our other options are uther sheit. a mace that only works on run attack or a chain axe thats only usable to MoK and gives lifesteal. And just because a FEW people on a forum are talking about it doesnt mean everyone is running with one I dont use one.. ain't nobody got time for that dueling sheit ppl need to DIE son and they need to die NAU not in 3 minutes from now or khorne will get pissed again.. Its called Asymmetrical balance. you as LSM get ez mode aoe heal , damage skull buff. boltguns for supports .better jump pack assaults , better weapons for tactical.s grav guns , a power maul for wolf supports and the list goes on.. we get.. a chain sword and a knife.. that does poison damage its good to break ur weak ass shield bro's woop woop there is counter play to space marines , must go forum and write nerf threats , to the spazz mobile!
It's still hilarious the threads popping up about anything melee being OP or needing nerfed considering Kannon one shooting anything into oblivion from across the map, Bolter melee and the extreme divide between Ranged TTK and melee TTK. Melee requires arriving alive next to your opponent then actually hitting them enough times to kill them. That people are complaining about poison shows how totally insane and spoiled some people have become because of the current shit state of melee. Basically you're saying anything in melee that actually has a descent TTK is OP and needs nerfed. GTFO I say to that. Poison is one of the only aspects of melee that's wasn't nerfed into total obscurity.
Chainblade of Fury begs to differ. A Chainsword that one shots 80% of full health Eldar builds with a single HA to their back? 2 Hits for pretty much everyone else regardless of faction? Yes please. CSM can keep their poison lol.
Please submit those videos of Fury one shooting full Armour(the upgraded sets) and full health Eldar. I'm not talking about unsuspecting heavies deployed on walls, newbies that are naked or afk Eldar players from behind. Versus active opponents that are wearing gear. Almost anyone is dead when unsuspecting and being attacked at close range from behind regardless of the weapon. A Bolter will drop someone just as fast considering time to close the Melee gap then the added time to wind up and deliver a strong attack.
Personally poison is a terror weapon for me at this point as if poison reaches a level that can actually kill you then so could a shuriken pistol, your going to die either way if that spud is lethal.
I do have it and it is inferior to a burny chopper and also 50LP more expensive. It takes on average 2 heavy attacks and a light attack or 4-6 light attacks to get a kill with the ghost chopper. Compare that to the burny choppers 1 heavy attack and 1 light attack for a kill (assumes no mitigation of the DOT). 40% lifesteal sounds great on paper, but Ork's don't melee fast enough or have a big enough lunge for it to be viable. Lifesteal only works when you make a hit connect and when you are swinging away at multiple unaware opponents. Otherwise the lifesteal doesn't preform and the end result is you clanging away with a 350lp basic knife choppa.
IMO as an Eldar and Chaos main, both the NCS and LS are as bad as each other, and are equally overused. It's used alot more by Scorpions because they are restricted to chainswords only. Chaos use theirs too but they have alot more melee options so I don't see them used quite so often.
So out of curiosity whats peoples opinion on the Stream of Corruption? I swear im like the only Sorcerer who uses this thing, i maybe saw it being used by other Sorcerers 10 times since launch. Which means that if a Black Legion Sorcerer was poisoning you, it was probably me.
