Everyone should get more slots or no one. Keeping them behind a paywall is the weirdest thing i ever heard. Why are consumers asking for this?
Out of the slots I have, normally I only use 3 and rarely use the fourth. Tactical, Apothecary, and Ground Assault. That usually covers my play style on my Space Marine. My last slot is usually the Heavy Bolter although I have been tempted to just switch that one with the Lazcannon instead. As the preset for the Heavy Bolter is not bad. Having extra slots I could buy would be nice, but not anything that I would consider a "Must have to win" item.
Eh, if there's a way to expand slots, it would still probably mean we could only have so many presets ready at a time, which I don't mind as much. Also really depends on the faction, most slots I've used thus far was 9 for Chaos, but 3 of those were for Havoks and 3 for Aspiring Sorceror.
To be fair, its been going on for a long while now. The first Guildwars introduced similar a very long time ago. Plus its a far fairer way of earning revenue than other alternatives like P2W weapons and items that many games like to impose. Be thankful they didn't go down that route instead.
Be thankful they only fuck you in the ass once? I boycott games who do shit like that to me. I´m sorry but just because other companies are jackasses does not mean bE should follow the example. We have P2w weapons currently. Abaddons grace has a complete unique gameplay mechanic that is not earnable ingame at all. ALSO and more importantly Guild wars is selling character slots. Not loudout slots as far as i know. That is not ingame power. And EC plans to do that too anyway and you don´t see me on the fence against it.
Well lets not forget there are plans to be able to earn EC in game on top so you wouldn't even have to pay with real money if you had the patience to save. Plus free expansions and the rest. How many other games are as fair as that these days?
