The Table Top codex is a gamification of a lore subject. Boyz tend to gather up with other boyz similar to their own interest, but they lack the hard divisions other armies have. But most slugga groups will also have shootas in them, and vice versa, and there is nothing in the lore to suggest tank bustas, burna boyz, flash gitz, and lootas don't regularly break off and join whatever boy squad happens to be nearby. A slugga boy may kill a guy and pick up his bolter and suddenly realize he has a lot of fun with the load boomey gun and suddenly he's a shoota boy. A shoota boy may get up close and beat a marine to death with the butt of his gun, loot the marines combat knife, and realize how much fun it is. A boy of either type may see something on fire and realize "oh man fire is awesome" and get himself a burna and become a burna. The TT has restrictions and rules because it's a game and it HAS to have restrictions and rules. The lore shows the orcs to be much less rigidly organized then the table top has them.
EC is a game too, thus there has to be loadouts all setted in advance for obvious balance issues. I understand your lore point of view, but it does not explain actual mechanics of the game. You'll be able to equip marines stuff since there are already some in the rogue trader, gameplay wise you'll probably have to build your loadouts before entering a game. I don't think you'll be able to loosely loot and equip directly on bodies while already in a game ^^
I understand that, but my point is that a tactical marine is a very specific thing in space marine lore, as is a devestator, as is an assault. Boyz, on the other hand, are much looser. Any boy with enough teef can become pretty much whatever he wants Stormboyz are certainly a different breed because they have a fundamental cultural cleavage with other orcs, being "disciplined", and "marching" and things like that. Painboyz, likewise, because they represent a different genetic trigger in the ork that gives them some knowledge of medicine.
well but we still need classes cause we also will have a talent tree for every class and seperated progression in those talent trees if we only have 1 class then we would progress faster then everyone else
