Well, f2w was focused on one class anyway, the most versatile one : something close to ork boy. So if ever the actual asymetric balance comes in the far future, having outnumbering forces of boyz won't make the whole faction op in my opinion, just way more numerous. @Savij the whole eldar army is elite specialists made, any marine is a heavy infantry specialist, thus I think the ork army could use some elite (TT wise) in its basic roster, so if not a kommando then a mek at least. He could repair vehicles while not busy zapping something...
well ya a mek wouldnt hurt it could be a alternative to mad doks meks take care of armor and doks of health also the very old concept of f2w being a single class was already outdated f2w were supposed to be like normal players just without access to elites and vehicles and they couldnt be leader if numbers are a balancing mechanic then we will have a problem with SM ^^ and i still dont see why we need elites in basic class rooster i think orks have a good and strong rooster
The Orks basic class roster parallels too heavily with the marines Be they loyalist or chaos And Orks are not Marines They're ORKS
To be earnest, I actually rather like the idea of orks operating on a boyz = all section, where you basically have one class "boyz", and then you customize the hell out of your boy. Is your boy a tankbusta? THen he's a tankbusta. Or a burna. Or a slugga, or a shoota.
well we dont want to see a loota with a rokkit on his back ^^ classes are also needed for balancing see assault and tactical they have different armor/hp and why shouldnt ork rooster be similar to SM or CSM? they need to fill the same roles
I think the developers said something about giving Ork players a lot of liberties with their loadouts. I'd be interested to see what they planned.
Because : A- this is boring, there needs to be differences between factions aside skins to make the game actually original B- this is not true to the lore, orks are unpredictable : best to wage as brutal as gory mayhem everywhere they go. I hope the game will bring some interesting orkish flavor, cause I'm not going to enjoy playing green marines.
We will have the most hilarious moves, voices, weapons, executions, personnality and vehicles. And as a zom said: it's more hard to make people laugh than make people cry. I imagine that it is so hard to make a good ork. First, you have the animation for the face. In opposite of the C/SM and Eldars who have helmet in their vanilla model, orks don't have a helmet, and most of them don't cover the face. So you had to make a realistic, natural and hilarious face animation. We all know that orks are savage and brutal, and this must be transcribed in their moves and their expression. The SM are super soldier disciplined, so they can stay still for hours in the same posture. The orks are indisciplined and excited, so every 5 or 10 seconds, your ork will look at the landscape, hit the ground with his choppa, touch his gun, talk to himself or to the others, sniffing loudly. An ork, even afk, must look alive and aggressive. I think this Will be a big challenge for the devs.
Well they will do that with different mechanics But I guess every faction needs a shooty class, heavy weapon class, jumpy class and supporty class
Orkz ain't Space Marines. We adapt to everything! If the Loota wants to carry a rocket launcha, let 'im. He wont get much else other than that though and am pretty sure a tankbusta would be able to use it bettah and since it's a class specific weapon. Im very sure that carry points will be built into the orkz faction and will dictate how much a specific ork class can carry what types of weapons.
