Plasma Cannons need a warm-up time.

    Heavy Bolters, Autocannons, Deffguns, Tempest Launchers, etc, etc, all have this down side for good reason. Heavy weapons deal immense damage and the Plasma Cannon has the ability lay back-to-back aoe bombardments, it should not be this good at rapid response close quarters. Give this thing the same warm-up time as heavy bolters for its single shot mode.

    Heavies already have enough downsides as it is. Piss poor melee fighting capability, wind-up before firing on unbraced aiming, clunkier manueverability, etc.

    And they have extreme strengths that play will with others. Get a good defender and heavies carry games. Plasma Cannons fight in melee as well as tac/traitor marines with ranged weapons. The plasma cannon deals more damage than any rifle. There's no downside to this much power. It's unreasonable.

    They require teamwork and can't lone wolf like Tacticals can to make use of those extreme strengths. Plasma Cannon heavies do not fight as well as Tacticals in melee, that's ignorant to say. Heavies have slower heavy attacks and their lunges are super short compared to Knives, let alone not being able to reliably rollex kite a damn thing. They're sitting ducks.

    And if you think Plasma Cannon is "unreasonable" or "broken" now, you haven't seen what it used to be capable of years ago. It was 100x worse.

    Well, yes, that is how the class is supposed to work.

    Supports play with lowered health and limited LPs.
    JPAs play with limited health and need to choose durability or mobility.
    GAs have no gap closer or sufficient ranged capabilities.
    Heavies evaporate everything in front of them, but aren't supposed to stand a chance when something is on their face, plasma cannon completely bypasses that intended class disadvantage.

    You want to do ranged pew pew and stand a chance in melee, play tactical.

    for me it was funny when a noob who did not know how to shoot it, killed himself and half of his team. Because it was a fun time

    and then there were messages in the chat - the player kicked for bad behavior. (And at that time for kicks for bad behavior, required 2 times more victims)
