<Tirigon> "We shall have to see about finding a partner for you then. I am afraid I have no ear for music, my only talents have ever been among Khaine's art. It shouldn't be too hard to find an instrument aboard the vessel either."
"I am a scholar, and a teacher. At times a storyteller, often something of a priest, and generally assumed to be a wise sage. My interests are many, and as I told Lord Arsys already, it is actually rare I am called to war. This is an enclave of Phoenix Lords, so I use the rare chance to talk of death, and yet I am constantly being called out for it. What is it that talk of death is forbidden amongst our oh so fatalistic culture now?", a vexed Veerix asked loudly, painfully reminded of the bother that was Sarahdeen.
Ralyith was slightly irritated at the fact her question about their previous adventure as part of the Enclave had been ignored by everyone else, but she still stayed around finding that listening to her kin was somewhat more entertaining and though provoking than asking some questions about what happened before.... Even if she felt that she didn't have much to contribute to the conversation that was going on.
~~Zu'ark~~ "I am not censoring anyone, madame shroud." Zu'ark said softly, not afraid of the woman - obviously. "But it is not healthy to succumb to it, Pearus has just recently passed, Kareen was threatened by a Phoenix Lord and almost disposed off and you all just barely survived this.... Surprising breakout by Duke Sliscus. We earned a break from this and we shall have it." He rose from his chair and placed his hands on the table. The crew members stopped their conversations and turned to the table. ~~Cethynemeer~~ "Probably. However. From what I know, this one is a newcomer." she pointed discreetly at Ralyith (@Maleth ). "Should you and the other lords not welcome her appropriately? She just comes from difficult travels with Corsairs."
Veerix replied not at first, instead looking back to the seer. Suddenly, she snapped to look away from him. "Truly, a loss to us all. Then let us drink to a friend lost, many a friendship retained, and a new friend in this war. Hey you! Hand me that wine. Obviously one cannot distract without partaking."
Arsys touched the soul stone that Pearus once wore. He needed to bring it home to her family. He sat and listened to those around him. He would not distract from their merriment.
~~Jeanne~~ Jeanne who was nearby noticed the motion and felt the sadness of Arsys, it was sticking out like a human among a group of Eldar, she approached him slowly, giving Sai'ir (@BadDo9 ) an assuring nod that she will be fine. "Phoenix Lord, Arsys. Excuse my intrusion. But... I felt your melancholy and wish to... Well... A hum... A ma... A lifeform should never carry the burden of loss alone." The human woman did not dare obviously to touch him, although she felt compelled to put her hand on his shoulder. She sat down near him and spoke no more, simply sitting there, looking at the group, giving him all time to reply - or not if he wished to be in silence, but she would be there. ~~Zu'ark + Others~~ "To old and new friends!" The crew toasted towards Veerix.
Without looking up he placed the stone securely in its pouch. "Some burdens are meant to be carried alone." He turned to face Jeanne, "I appreciate your concern. Remain vigilant young one, it was a lack of which that caused her death. A mistake I will not soon repeat." He held her gaze allowing her to look into his soul as only a psyker can.
< @Uriel1339 @kanila > Sai'ir, not drunk enough to abandon his charge, Carefully watches Jeanne and Arsys, Even as he toasts as well. He was still unsure of most of the other lords.
~~Jeanne~~ She focused for several seconds, letting the gate to his soul open before her, as he allowed, if not even demanded it. "I... See... But is that not the purpose why we... You travel here in a group? To fight together, to share the burden of all that comes with it, such as losses?" ~~Rharijem~~ After the toast, the pilot moved to the Phoenix Lord, patting him gently on the back. "Nice girl you got there. Psyker at that. Almost like a female version of Zu'ark, eh?" He obviously teased Sai'ir, and consciously so as Rharijem was a man who required a lot of alcohol to be affected at it. Due to his tall physique and higher body mass than others, plus a trained liver from over the last few years, ever since the Tyranid threat was fought.
