For starters, your personal experiences as a guild in a premade team, especially as Eldar where a premade team can make a huge difference, do not represent the playerbase at large. If you want to play a game that is balanced around clan tactics then look no further than League of Legends and to a lesser extent, Warframe. Secondly, you might have time to place A bomb on a moving transport. As in, only one bomb. Unless it is moving slower than a snail, you arent going to be standing next to it for that long. Not both.
Yes only one melta bomb on moving transport I dont think balancing the game based on the 80% playerbase that is composed of pugs not kniwing what they are doing is a good idead but whatever..
The meltas do not need to be nerfed for the sake of you feeling less shitty about stacking up against unorganized players. And on that note, if you're going to be like 99% of the other veteran players and whinge about PUGs being PUGs, you have three choices: A) Take some goddamn initiative and look for newbies to train (The LSM guilds, to their credit, are actually trying to make the garrison a good place to learn). B) Stop complaining and play the game for the sake of having fun and let everybody else do the same. C) Get out, stay out, and take that piss-poor attitude with you, because if you can't do A or B, then you're part of the problem and you should take a break.
So melta bombs not destroying a nearly dead vehicle. It feels...wrong. They can level a gate, but not a smoking tank?
Yeah, I know. It's just a matter of whether you value realism (or at least realism relative to the 40k universe) over gameplay, I guess. Wanting both is not an unreasonable suggestion but, given what we've been provided so far, probably an unrealistic one. I suppose you could have it do 60% or a flat 200 damage*, whichever is higher. *or any other arbitrary number as required.
Doing what? How is the program supposed to tell whether the driver is doing wheelies for fun or whether he's keeping the Rhino away from enemy infantry?
who cares ? if hes sitting in the rhino, at least the rhino can be driven away if needed, unless hes afk or intentionally teamhampering. in this case, kick and report him.
Now this is something that's definitly worth testing. Maybe you also have to buff Eldar Vehicle HP a little (Or finally add shields to them xD) and reduce the roadkill-potential. remove double melta bombs and we should be fine I think... to be determined
It could be flat damage plus a semi small percentage. I wont drop any numbers because I dont know exactly how much health the vehicles have and the shield idea for eldar tanks sounds pretty awesome actually.
