Asteroid Prison Xaviera felt an electrified quality to the air and her senses that had nothing to do with the euphoria of Slaanesh's gifts, her dilated eyes flashing across the field to see the Pink Horrors emerge from the Warp. The Sorcerer had attracted the attentions of the Changer of Ways' servants, and within her heart of hearts she quietly resigned herself to the fickle nature of her Gods. All the same, she had no time to waste in repelling the Horrors. She laid herself flat against cover and attempted to unload her laspistol some more on the daemons. <Black site complex> @Uriel1339 @BuriasDempsey Speakers thankfully worked and Valu saw that as he pressed the triggers for the locks, green light went to yellow in all cases. Watching the progress below he would see that both the Navigator and her friend were now hurrying over to the doors number 003, the male getting keys from the dead guard and pushing them into the lock... ---- Plaguebearer finished gorging on the peacock rather quickly, even the daemon didn't find the young officer tasteful and just tossed his remains away, its one cyclopean eye turning on the girl next to Kombuse. But stupid daemon wasn't that fast like some of the lesser creatures belonging to other greater powers meaning that the Blood Pact soldier had enough time to get the correct key, punch it in the lock and turn it. Around the same time he did that he heard clicks coming not only from these doors but from each door in the corridor, although none opened. "Prisoners, your time to leave has come. Your only requirement is to keep the navigator-mutant alive. If she dies, your safety will not be guaranteed." Someone's words blurted from the speakers and Kombuse spotted that the girl next to him suddenly turned her head towards the speaker, shaking off as if she just woke up from a deep dream. Then she turned towards Kombuse and he saw look of pure horror on her face. "NO! WAIT! DON'T..." But it was too late. Key was already in and the lock was turned. Doors slammed open and Kombuse saw a monster exiting its cell. Tanned giant lumbered forward, his entire body was covered in black script that was hard to look at. Even while having only loincloth on his body, the prisoner looked more than capable of killing everything present. Kombuse knew some hard people back in the Pact but this one gave an entire new meaning to the word "danger". Plaguebearer seemed to think the same as it halted its advance, which was also the last thing it did. Words which weren't really words escaped newcomer's mouth, the sound definitely not something that should come out of human's throat. It made Kombuse's ears bleed but more importantly, it had completely different effect on the daemon. Flying back as if kicked by a large bat the Plaguebrearer, instead of slamming against the ground, was suspended in the air, looking almost dumbfounded. Its one eye gazed back on the newcomer for a second, before the man's tattoos flared to life and another unholy vowel hit the daemon, unraveling its essence and obliterating its form on this plane. Plaguebearer exploded in a sense his body was brought down into little pieces but instead of splattering its surroundings, it just collapsed unto itself and disappeared from the corridor as if it never existed. "YOU..." the girl shouted and attempted to reach the cowl on her forehead before the tattooed giant backhanded her against the wall, instantly knocking her unconscious. His dark eyes then fell on Kombuse and he grabbed him by the collar, rising him up so they would be face to face. "You were not part of the plan," he spoke, his voice the sound of corruption itself, "Tell me, why should I spare you?" ---- Valu saw all of this happening while he was looking around for some kind of additional help. He found map of the prison, various corridors were created to look like some kind of a net, running around in circles all throughout the sub-level of the asteroid station. There were even marks on couple of corners of the place, located in side tunnels that awfully looked like rat symbols, those mutants Valu and his teammates had a pleasure of meeting most likely serving as another layer of defense. He saw that there were no sentries at his disposal, all of them already launched from their bays as the riot was in full swing. He caught attention of the fact that at least 90% of the cells were open, alongside the entrance doors to the complex, the same one through which he infiltrated the place, and all of those things were infected with scrap code. Phocron was busy indeed. Alien also spotted that only one lamp went red, the one above cell number 003, the same one that was open, meaning that his pressing of the buttons undid only one of the locks while Navigator and her friend undid another one. Two-step protection at its best and it showed the Lacrymole just how much the Alpha Legionary was ahead of them this whole time. But it would mean nothing if the target, the daemonic-looking Astartes, was not led out of the place. It all fell down to Valu to do it as he saw that fighting still raged across the complex and it would be better if he avoided it altogether.
The Astartes was a bit amused with this, surprisingly - instead of groaning in pain or trying to put out the flames, merely laughed. He laughed as he was set aflame, bouts spewing all over his armoured form. A hand held up his spear without too much worry, using it to get himself out of the wall and up to his feet. How could I have missed this for so long and not known? he thought to himself, Ausarius' weapon readying itself for a moment. The pain was not an unpleasant thing - and in other circumstances he'd despise it, but he relished it now, for it reminded him again that he was alive. That he was a Thousand Sons Sorcerer, a survivor of the ages, a living legend; a man of millennia past. No warning was given now as the joyous warrior lunged forward to fight the beasts he unwittingly summoned, immediately getting into the thick of the fray and aiming to force his blade into the creatures, stabbing one and swinging it around before slamming the monster into the ground; should he be able to, he'd simply kill one and be done with it! OOC: two attacks on Horror #1 with Force Spear, one defense on self.
Fera grimmaced as she heard the astartes just laugh not acknowledging or responding to there squad mate. "Or you could just laugh in your sensations of being on fire." Fera said to herself under her breath turning up her Vox emitters she spoke out looking to the dazed guards. "Guards of this prison, your forces are diminishing your doors, are left open, your heavy support now lay destroyed your tech priest dead, and you and your warriors are being killed one by one and now the servants and daemons of tzeetch come so we can strike them down along with the weak, I give you this offer Join us in our missions and pillaging this place and earn a spot in our warband growing in power, wealth and honor if you posses it, Or die here and to rot for the nurglites to grow from or be killed down for your blood to be shed for the war god." Fera said her voice booming over the box filled with a iron resolve in it. as she went on into combat once more firing out bolters against the changer of ways pets Balanced action, One defense on Ferra, One Diplomancy on guards/Attack on the pink horrors with heavy bolter,
<Asteroid prison – Rock Bottom prison complex | Command Room | Secret Mission> @Colapse | @BuriasDempsey "Huh... An Astartes. One which disintegrated a daemon." Valu said to himself, then eyed curiously the mortal man that was lifted up by the apparent target. "And who might you be? A secret agent of Phocron? Probably not, because then you would have been part of the plan... Mhhhh... How do I explain you without getting you killed? Wait. Do I need you alive?" Valu pondered and looked to his right, where The Wych was standing over the corpse of the officer, cutting her open in boredom, doing an autopsy. Next to her stood The Pirate who gave the fallen guard a proper burial as good as he could in the name of the Emperor, folding his hands in the symbol of the double-headed eagle, putting his helmet on his chest, dog-tags in the hand, and so on. "He is handsome. Let him live." The Wych said with a morbid chuckle. "A worshipper of the dark gods who would finally be in your life debt. Not you in his... Not that I care about this one in particular, just saying." Then on his shoulder he felt some weight, and when he glanced The Blue Snake hissed and nodded - Valu understood. "You three are right. Thank you for your council." The Lacrymole responded to all at once and put his finger back on the speaker. "Excuse me, milord. It seems this human might have been part of the prisoners and guided the navigator to you. Of course you can do whatever you want with him. But would it not be wiser to have him carry the three-eyed mutant for you, while you handle the combat? You could kill him as easy as turning a light switch off, but that would leave you also with carrying the woman. Oh and, apologies if I forgot to mention this. But I'm here to lead you out of this facility." And with that he closed the speaker channel to Cell 003 once more.
The Blood Pact soldier was looking at him with a scowl as he was about to speak before a speaker in the cell behind the walking muscle bound book seemed to explained the situation. He grabbed the wrists of the behemoth to lift himself up to eye level with the giant to speak now. "In other words, Cause I unlocked the damn door for you jack ass and got her here!" Kombuse practically growled at the Marine that had him by the collar and in the air. He knew not who he was and he only had loyalty to the Gaur, so as far as Kombuse cared this guy was just another prisoner here. Casting a glance over to the unconcious woman, who he now realized was a psyker after listening to the dude on the speaker, he looked back into the bookman's eyes. "And I'll carry her, like the speaker guy said, I owe her that much at least." Kombuse reminded him, betting on this guy having a superiority complex over the regular joes like the trooper like the rest of the armor clad giants usually did.
<Asteroid prison upper part> @DeranVendar @Grall_Stonefist @WanderingJester @High_Adept_Zeth @Taec PDF soldiers were not really equipped to deal with an Astartes such as Corbulus, but dished out quite a lot of damage during the fighting and they were ready to do more before it was all over. Just as the Alpha Wolf finished killing lieutenant and turned to give his speech, he received a hail of high powered las-shots as a reply. His hud flared as his armor systems registered multiple breaches and then it too went to hell as a couple of hits hit his head, piercing through the blackened side of the helmet and straight into his cheek, creating a huge burned hole on his cheek and melting half of his teeth on that side of the head. A grievous wound but the marine was still standing, running into the scattering soldiers in order to exact his vengeance. Perhaps it was due to the mounting injuries but the Alpha Wolf managed to slay only one of the troopers before the rest got out of the way, keeping on with pelting the bigger warrior with additional las-rounds. "Go to hell creature, you and your Nurgle can kiss my axe!" Warden spat back at Orghast, uninterested in hearing his heretical words. But whether he wanted it or not, Waltz was fighting a loosing battle and nothing that he did could change that. Devoid of his support due to actions of a particular beastman, the Warden had a harder time fighting alone in melee against such opponent like a Plague Marine. Axe flew through the air, sliced into Orghast's shoulder guard but was stuck there for a moment, allowing the Death Guard to stab forward with his knife. Too slow to bring his shield about, Warden's armor did nothing to stop the huge blade as it ripped into him, cutting open his stomach all the way to his hip. Struggling and dropping backwards, Warden bled but what he didn't know was that he was already dead. Orghast saw familiar dark green substance forming around Waltz's wound and finally, first time after Schindlegeist, felt the burden placed on his soul slowly lifting. While he was dealing with the newfound fact, Gorzkha managed to regain his balance and helped by a shield, stand up straight in anticipation of an attack that never came. Pretty much every enemy nearby was either dead or busy fighting others, giving him perfect opportunity to engage someone and even the bestigor could see that the Warden was stricken through and through, an easy prey for someone like him. On the other side Enginseer finally met his end as he couldn't possibly hope to fight both a Raptor and a Cyrabor Mystic at the same time. Erelak advanced and cut deep into Enginseer's body, ripping cables and extra plating from the adept's body as his chainsword did the work. Return strike with the power axe was too slow, Black Legionary simply gliding away from it as it hit only air next to him. Servant of the Omnissiah was about to make his next move when his body suddenly stopped and jerked strangely, trying to fight off the sensation of the scrap code entering his system directly and threatening his very existence. Sobek, for who Enginseer thought would be unable to recover from the earlier wound did just that, the heretek jumping on his body and, using his whip to keep his hold on the Enginseer's back, invaded his socket and began shutting it down. Enginseer trashed a bit, trying to get Sobek off his back but all of it would be futile in the end as Erelak now had a perfect opportunity to end this threat once and for all (OOC @Taec feel free to emote killing Enginseer with your next post). Viator would also take out his opponent and finally. Facing against angry Slaaneshi Champion the mecha bear was utterly annihilated, not managing to lay another hit on the perfect body of Dark Prince's adopted son. Turning around, he opened fire with his pistol and hit the second bear right in its center, pushing it away from the Plague Sentinel and blowing up one of its legs. Daemon inside didn't seem to mind this sort of intervention as it activated its lascannon and speared straight through the machine's form, the projectile putting it down for good. Same like before, Plague Sentinel gets a random roll to determine if it's about to get a random buff each turn. Sobek lost his arm. Gorzkha is slowed.
Gorzkha stood for a short moment as he overlooked the fight, they where winning, that much was clear, though they haddent taken losses, they had still been blooded, some more than others, and it was there he Saw the arrogant wolf Corbulus, taking too long in killing a single PDF, and turned slow, surely to give one of his speeches, though much to Gorzkhas amusement, he was cut short as his arrogance awarded him with a volume of las fire that would have killed most other things than a marine. He also saw the wounding of the warden. And now Gorzkha was conflicted, the warden had blooded him, and opened him to the attacks that saw Gorzkha now wounded like this, should he strike him down and claim the kill in vengeance, but at the same time Corbulus enacted his impotent vengeance, and would the wolf even aknowlegde that he needed to be saved. And there Gorzkha had to make his decition, and as much as he wanted to strike down the warden and let Die or get worse for wear, the PDF was a more proper target for his violence. He halted towards them the most stable and quick he could, no loud brays or roars to get too much attention prematurely, instead he would just start striking them down with the weapons of their own enforcers OOC: Balanced attack defence against PDF
"What have you done, you kalshiel son of a-" Satharn swore only briefly as he took in the literal horrors unleashed by Ausarius' warp-meddling. "This is no time for laughter you mad witch," he spat as he spun his chainglaive in his hands, turning from the wreck of the second servitor in a spray of cogs and tissue. He grimly sought to end the unnatural life of the nearest Pink Horror, setting his jaw as he carved and swung. He hoped they wouldn't beget more of their hideous fellows. Warp alone knew what else could happen in a confined space like this. Witches. Never could trust them not to make a crag-cat's arse of things. The Night Lord knew the necessity of using the warp to travel. He wasn't about to deny the usefulness of the average Librarian, even the moody examples ill-favoured by the gene-seed of the Night Haunter. But they needed careful watching and guess who was off his Legion's leash? "That's a sound idea Fera, we can get right to it as soon as we've dealt with the new friends of Laughing Boy here." Attack on Pink Horror, Defence on self, extra attack if still there on Pink Horror. Sarcasm on Ausarius.
<Asteroid prison - lower levels> @Jorimel @Kalle @Vlayden @Vulpas @Skarboy Remaining guards, under the effect of both the daemonic presence, Chaos Marine attack and Xaviera's spell, finally broke faith with the Imperium despite them being somewhat trained to withstand such influences. Whatever support they had in form of the combat servitors was lost as Attelus got near the bunker and chucked a frag grenade in it, destroying its occupants and finishing the job. Following Fera's example, the mortals turned their guns on one of the horrors but they failed at hitting it, their shots going wide and hitting nothing. Little mortals were of no concern to the daemon and it casually sent a burning bolt at them, hitting one and incinerating it on the spot. Fera however wasn't about to just watch that happen and once again the Fallen Sister used her heavy bolter to start reaping skulls for the Skull Throne and in this case, servants of the rival God would prove to be more than enough to meet the quota. Bolts flew and impacted on the corrupted flesh, daemon screaming as it was pushed against the wall, its body slowly disappearing back into the hell it was spawned from (@Vulpas emote killing this Pink Horrors with your next post). Laughing Sorcerer was next, the sheer fact of a once mighty Thousand Son brought low by a lesser daemon was apparently quite funny. On the other hand, Ausarius' skills with a force spear were anything but laughable, son of Prospero moving in with dazzling speed and while his robes burned, he made sure to exact swift vengeance upon these critters for ruining his style. One stab and half of the Pink Horror disappeared, the monster attempting to jump upon the psyker and do a little something before it inevitably was lost to the Warp. Sadly it did about nothing as Ausarius was ready for its move, punching it with the shaft of his spear and stunning it, before preparing a killing blow (@Vlayden feel free to execute one of the Pink Horrors with your next post). Last Pink Horror turned its attention on Xaviera, second psyker hidden behind some rocks looked like a tasty morsel to the daemon. It sent burning bolts of daemonic energy at her, her cover getting melted down in an instant, Xaviera unable to get away in time and suffering burns across her left arm that at first ruined her aim with her pistol, initial salvo of shots going wide. However then she once again focused, power of the Dark Prince about to disappear from her veins but still giving her enough strength to launch a deadly hail, las-burns marking the daemon but all in all doing little damage to its body. Pink Horror kept on going and was about to reach Xaviera when its death finally arrived in form of midnight clad son of Curze. Landing on top of the daemon Satharn swung his chain glaive vertically and bisected the creature, literally cutting it in half. Before the monster could separate in two lesser versions of itself, the Night Lord brought around his weapon and did another cut, this time horizontally. Pieces of the Pink Horror fell on the ground and twitched for couple of seconds before disappearing altogether, finally ending the last remaining opposition the invaders had. Path inside the prison was open. Ausarius:4 Satharn:9 Attelus:6 Xaviera:4 Fera:4 Guards:6(Dazed t1)
