I think a speshul kannon can do the job they just have 1 shoot so it need to do lots of DMG they are one of the most accurate ork weapons now we just need to figure out an orky way of sniping hint: not the right click zoom + hold breath ^^
i think we could try to adopt WoT s way of aiming for ork sniping when you click RMB you start the sniping then a big circle appears around your cross hair this circle gets smaller and smaller as longer you aim the same spot each movement makes the circle a bit bigger (depending on how long the movement is) if you aim to long your ork gets bored and exits the aim mode or shoots
I think there's a difference between Ork Ranged, and Ork Sniping. Ork Ranged is perfectly feasible and lore supported. As already linked, there's flashgitz and loota's who basically carry personal cannons with giant ranges and pretty awe inspiring damage. Their short coming is that they always need more Dakka, because they don't hit much to begin with. To represent this, Ork ranged weapons should absolutely piss out bullets, but have a shotgun's cone of fire and/or staggering kick unless braced. So if you like sniping with Shotguns, then yes, there is such a thing as Orkish Sniping.
Even with OP trying to rule out "sniping aint orky" , yes Sniping aint orky. Oneshot-wonder sniping in a shooter/melee game doesent really translate into "fun gameplay" for most.
Yeah that could work. "And no, "sniping aint orky" isnt a viable answer unless you find a good way to make non-storm boyz get into melee real quick" I said this in the OP, do you have any ideas for no snipers?
I'm not sure where you're getting "sniping aint orky" out of my statements, but I'd sure appreciate you not putting words in my mouth, because that's not what I said at all. What I said was simple: It isn't necessary, and it's okay if we don't get a sniper rifle just to say we have one. As it happens, I don't have any suggestions that haven't already been mentioned. I am simply objecting to the statement that "Orkz need snipers because everyone else will have them." That's fundamentally not how is designed, according to the devs.
