Now that's the spirit. Imho, the majority of Ork guns should work like shotguns, i.e. the closer the target is, the more hurt it receives. Of course this would make them worse when attacking targets in a distance, but if these targets attack in a huge blob (think of SMs fighting shoulder-to-shoulder), your average Big Shoota suddenly turns into an areal denial weapon. Just don't try to snipe individual targets with it.
Hmmm i could see where Orky weapons can jam at random intervals. Looted ones not so much. But then if there is an activated WWWAAAGGG action or something along the lines of that. It decreases that interval to nil. For a limited time. Makes orks stay together.
na!! random frustration is always a bad idea make positive randomness instead cause random happiness is always fine ;3
Also, Ork Gunz should only jam if the Ork thinks they should jam. And a Real Ork only thinks 'more dakka'.
Ork weapon jamming or equipment failure would be hilarious. But then the devs would need to strengthen Orks significantly elsewhere. I'd really hate for something as enjoyable as that immersion to be a serious drawback without equal benefit elsewhere. I'm just dying to see what they actually have in store for Orks.
This is Ork ranged combat in a nutshell. It can only get bigger, more destructive, and needlessly unreasonably loud.
WAAAAAGH! I like the idea and believe it would fit in nicely with the lore. Further expanding this idea could be a nice equalizer to make up for the Orks reduced aiming ability. Where SMs would require preserving ammo and taking accurate shots, mostly an Ork could lay what is seemed as a never ending barrage of bullets. The regeneration could be explained also by the Ork picking up ammo off of fallen Orks and SMs and loading it in their weapon even if it’s the wrong caliber, simply because the Ork believes it will work.
