  2. Aww, hell. That means they're tracking everyone in this thread.

Nothing's happened so far. Still nothing. Phew, I think I got away with

Not a new faction but wild life native to the planet would be interesting. They could be enemies we encounter in the dungeons, but I dunno how hard on the server it would be if they were also wild life in pockets scattered around the continents.

The Umbra could go well with this, as they usually are secretly in imperial ships. Could have an event where an imperial ship gets shot down, hits the ground and opens a secret cave, where the Umbra's go, and voila, we got a really high level dungeon in our hands.

Some random aliens used as SM target practice in the SM tutorial would really be a nice touch.

The galaxy is a vast place. We have no knowledge of what horrors lurk in the dark. Yeah, sure, be creative with new xenos, just don't make them one of the main threats.

I'm not sure where this question came from, but I think I know what it might be. What we've been told about Arkhona is that it used to belong to an ancient xenos civilization, but long after their "disappearance" the Imperium settled down there.

This might mean it was once an Eldar planet, which might explain why the Eldar would be interested in the planet, but not necessarily, there are many enigmatic reasons why they would participate.

The thing is that it could be any Xenos race, known or not. During the expansion and later reconquering of the Imperium many Xenos races were wiped out, this could simply be one of those cases.

Regardless, GW wouldn't authorize BE or anyone else to just make up a new race for a game, maybe for fiction and fluff, but nothing playable.
  8. I wouldn't mind as long as everything gets approved by the correct sources as to not break anything in the regular lore.

I like the sound of this, it might be interesting, but I don't know about it. Having a race like the Rak'Gol attack might be interesting. I don't know what you could do to an alien force to make it a threat to the combined forces of four factions all on the same planet.
  10. W40k has lots of Xenos in the fluff that arnt in the miniature game.

Like, the Kinebrach for instance. Theyre basically a footnote in the first Horus Heresy book, and thats it. There are other footnote xenos.

Either getting something really obscure, like Kinebrach for lulz, or making something up, wouldnt be a big deal IMO, as long as theyre not made to be too important.

An original race could be indigenous to the world. I wouldnt have a problem with an original race.

Obviously they wouldnt be playable, but havnt they said they want some npc enemies other than tyranids?
