OOC: Just as I said in the OOC, time to bot everyone forwards! (At least those that I didn't get anything to work with!) :p

~~Shrine to Saint Thira, House Ortisa's holdings, Acele~~
As everyone left the Shrine, K'tikathat and Tyesha would the two members of the team that ended up drawing the croud's ire, one half chanting out their hatred for K'tikathat, and the other half declaring their hatred for the witch. It was only the fact that both were with the Inquistion that prevented a riot over both of them being in the Shrine from breaking out (even if they both got rotten fruit and vegatables thrown at them by the mob). However, the nobles and their guards that were still there were staying to oneside, not wishing to encourage the mob's behaviour. When K'tikathat and Boris boarded their Valkyrie, their proportion of the mob gave up on harassing the Alien and turned their attention towards Tyesha.

Before the crowd's anger could turn into something worse, the leader of House Ortis's guard, armed with more gifts that clearly were not native to this world such as a laspistol had clearly had enough with the uneducated masses harassing the members of the Inquisition, and so he yelled "CEASE YOUR ACTIONS OR FACE SWIFT RETRIBUTION!" The crowd's mood mostly died down, but there were a few who tried to escalated it: They were promptly shot by the Captain of the Guard, laspistol stopping them stone dead in their tracks. Anyone who wanted to take up the matter up were too scared of the Captain's weapon to try and do anything towards him or the witch and her compainions.

As the Valkyrie containing Firebat, Pierce and Ferenien set off, heading to the north, the Captain of the Guard said "Sorry for the unpleastness, the peasants never get that serving the Emperor does entail making compromises such as.... Her." He nodded towards the Psyker, clearly uneasy about being so close to such a dangerous woman. Still, he composed himself and then said to them "Anything that your work requires, lords and lady?"

    ~~Enroute to Thria's Blessing, House Arteno's region~~
As the Valkyrie headed towards Thira's Blesing to start investigating House Arteno, Alicia said to her compains "Boris, I'm letting you roam freely on this occasion, seeing as I'll be busy having to keep K'tikathat from causing a incident that could set off the locals." She then turned to face the Xenos and said "To ensure that yo don't spart of anything like the Shrine mob again, you are to stay close to me at all time. Any suggestions you have will have to be made now, Kroot,"

    ~~Enroute to Stoneheart, House Tarthen's Territory.~~~
As the group of Firebat, Pierce and Ferenien were heading towards Stoneheart and into the jaws of House Tarthen, they would have time to plan how they would manage to get by without one of their fellow team members that were much more suited to diplomacy with them.

    ~~Deserts of Acela-House Karitha territory~~

As Ogedei unleashed his bike's fury, twin storm bolters chewing through the Heretek's armour as if it was nothing more than wet paper and inflicting horrific wounds upon woman, blood and flesh falling onto the sands of the desert. However, the Astarte's grenade didn't do what it was meant to do upon the unholy machine.... As its front right paw swatted at the grenade and sent it flying back towards him, and promptly imploded, tearing apart both Marine's armour and his machine.

Meanwhile, Fredrick had gotten stuck in with fighting the bandits, but sadly his Power Axe missed anyone he could have hit, leaving the fighters from the caravan to do their best in fighting off the bandits. They either did extremely well, or extremely poorly as while eight men tore a bloody swath through the brigands, lopping off a few limbs and slaying some of their attackers; the others were beaten back and in one case, counter attacked and suffered some casualties by some of the more skilled fighters on the other side.

Then the Attack-Cat sprung into action, heavy flamer setting a few caravan guards alight before it charged Ogedei, firstly pouching upon the Marine and dislodging him from Malaya. As attacker and prey landed with a puff of dust into the sand, the machine then started started to tear into his armour's Ceramite shell with its teeth, going for his throat, and it took all his effort to keep it from getting too close. The Heretek turned her attention to the loyal servant of the Omnissiah, Marcostubbler raining bullets upon Fredrick, who's War-Plate proved useless and so his blood now mixed with all the other spilt during the battle.

The Bandit's leader however took the cake as he charged towards the loyal Adept of Mars, chainsword coming down in one fluid blow and sawing off Fredrick's left arm, leaving him unable to fight with both bolt pistol and Power Axe, leaving the Loyalists in a precarious position.

(I come back and my left arm is torn off and armour rendered useless - awesome start!)

It was at that moment that Fredrick knew that he was in quite a pickle. Although he wasn't too worried with the bleeding due to his extensive augmentation (as his internal servos monitored how much blood was being lost), he was more concerned with the screaming bandit leader at hand. He attempts to pummel the fiend with a small adamantium hammer that he picked up from his toolbox, while aiming his chirurgical mechanendrite at any opening that his foe might present.

"Pierce or Ferenien, which one of you want to be a talker? I am 97% sure, that my presence will cause trouble." 'Firebat' decided to start this strategy talk with his fellows. He felt understanding was needed.

  4. "Kroot wears the collar." K'tikathat responses, lowering his head down and staying quiet for rest of the flight unless the Inquisitor addresses him. Alicia would have to decide it herself wherever the xeno was being honest, sarcastic, rebellious or obedient as K'tikathat doesn't provide further expression or reaction. Instead he stands within respectable distance, not too close, not too far, like a trained dog.

"Indeed we do, venerable one." The Silver Shroud started, fixing his clothing and wiping some fruitmeat off his shoulder and taking his glove off before offering his hand to shake it, not wanting to mess up the good man's hand.

"I go by the name of 'Silver Shroud', destroyer of evil, protector of good, annihilator of all that wills ill to His Eminence." The helmeted warrior introduced himself before gesturing to his aide. "And this is the Azure Phantom, ready to deliver death and always lurking in my shadow, bringing justice against all the blasphemy a world could hold. And the psychic gifted, well, I assume you all know her. We are in dire need of transport, a chimera would be most ideal, but any other motorized vehicle would do as well, provided we can travel together. The destination would be the beloved kingdom of Harkon." The slight sarcasm could be heard in his voice, but still he spoke stern enough so it could actually be taken serious, however the listener would like it to be taken.

Obviously he completely ignored the aggravation the witches' presence caused, keeping his mind on-target and not wishing to dwell on those troubles any further. The people were simple and would never understand nor comprehend what it means to be a psyker. Not as if Takeshi was an expert on the matter, but he knew enough that members of all inquisition arms were psykers. So it would be best to simply move on from the issue as it would recur all over this world and beyond, no matter how he would react to it.

Teysha treated the slurs and insults from the crowd as some sort of adulation, waving enthusiastically to the snarling peasantry. Occasionally she blew a kiss towards one, causing them to either blush in confusion or panic. At others she would pretend to mumble some strange incantation, and took great joy in watching them run in fear.

When they finally reached the Captain of the Guard she giggled upon hearing his polite complaint towards her, "Oh I'm sorry captain. Is little ol me causing a commotion?" She said innocently, batting her eyelashes at the guardsman. "Don't worry love, I promise I won't turn any of you inside out or flay your minds. There, feel better now?" She knew it wasn't going to help, but Tyesha couldn't help but torment the simple minded folk who feared her. She had to entertain herself somehow, didn't she?

Laying down on the ground, the Khan clenched his teeth as he fought to push the metal teeth away from his face with, trying to move it away so he doesn't get eaten. At the same time, with his other free hand he tried to pull out his bolt pistol and with a mental impulse, switch to kraken rounds for better armor penetration. Like that, he would attempt to fire at the metal cat in point blank range, aiming for its throat for that should be its weakest spot in order to try and separate its head off from its body and kill it like that.

Ferenien looked at his designated investigation squadron. His helmet oculars glowed a lime green in the light-scarce carriage of the Valkyrie as he decided his position on the best course of actions. Votum spoke, beneath his respmask array, he would state "It may be nigh time for one such as myself to enact negotiations and break-down talking at this faction's 'House'. If that is what is believed opportune for the rest of you." The Scion would tap into his wrist-slate some new notes as well as pull up information on House Tarthen.

The Captain of the Guard rolled his eyes at the witch's suggestion, distinctly unimpressed by the manner which she conducted herself around the common folk, but he said to the much more reasonable servant of the Imperium, the Silver Shroud: "Very well my lord, I shall see to it that your need of transport is tended to." He then beckoned to one of his subordinates, and said to him "Our guests need transport to the lands of House Harkon. Fetch them one of the Engines of the Imperium." The man, much younger than the grizzeled veteran of the Captain hesitated for a moment, asking "But sir, surely they could get another flying thi-" He was cut off by the Captain who harshly demanded "Get them what they need!"

The guard then scampered off towards the holding area where horses would normally be kept, and soon enough the sound of an engine came and a Chimera finally arrived, the guard popping out from the rear entrance and addressed the Captain "Sir, got the lords and.... Witch, their transport." He then replied "Good, now best be on your way, wouldn't want to dawdle around here."

"Good to see that you are on the same page, Alien." Alicia replied, and it wasn't long before the Valkyrie touched down, and K'tikathat could see that clearly that the castle was built with special care to blend in within the forest, stone coloured brown and patterned to look as if it was just another part of the almost disproportionally sized forest. Still, it was also obvious when he saw the group gathered infront of himself and the Inquisitor, with awoman clad in a very fine dress that seemed just a bit too revealing to be considered normal attire in the Imperium at large, surrounded by guards and with a man by herside. A sly gance by the woman proved telling to the Alien that she was the one who was in charge here.

One of the guards announced "Her Highness Queen Merlia welcomes her guests to the lands of House Arteno!" and Merlia curtestied to the assembled group before she replied "Hello, my dear guests, I suppose you would care for questions before looking around my humble abode?"

Ogedei's boltpistol served him well, as the first Kraken round struck true in the throat of the Attack Cat and created a larger exit wound while the machine's body. However was not yet dead, it was merely wounded and forced off the Marine's chest, letting him get up and fire off a second round that stuck the cat's body, and that inflicted further damage internally, promethium leaking through the machine's second wound. Meanwhile, Fredrick's hammer proved more effective than one would presume such a simple tool to be, weapon striking surely as the Tech-Priest used his low-tech weapon to break bone and inflict blunt force truma upon his attacker.
Finally, the duo's allies would prove to be ineffective agasint the bandits, who either repelled another high-spirited but low-skilled assault or even countered such a clumsy offensive, but merely inflicted wounds rather than killing the fighters.

Then the Heretek and her allies took the chance and went all out on the offensive, with the machine that had pestered Ogedei going in for another attempt, spewing fire as it pounched towards him again. This time, the Astartes had the better of his foe, as he dodged its blow, even if he got burnt by the flames in the process. The machine's mistress also chipped in, Marcostubbler firing off a small burst of rounds at the Marine that had harmed her work, but the bullets failed to do more than bounce off the White Scar's Power Armour. The normal bandits faired no better on the attack than the caravan guards did, with one exception by two skilled swordsmen that ganged up on one of the fighters, quickly slaying him by lopping off his head. The leader however continued to dish out the damage upon the Tech-Preist, chainsword further chewing up his body.

And so the skirmish raged on, no side clearly the victor, nor the loser of this battle.

  10. Kai sighed, and shook her head. She walked up next to Silver Shroud, and spoke under her breath. "I don't know about her, Master. She's cocky, and is too... feminine, for lack of a better word. Her powers are impressive, though. What are your thoughts?" She asked, as they stepped into the Chimera.
