"Terror tactics and that a small group at least cooperated. A single assassin couldn't pull this off. To move the Gargoyle and all that, without being noticed in the meanwhile. Reminds one of Goge Vandire, doesn't it?" The Arbitrator mused, rubbing his helmeted chin with a slight shrug. "We need more information, but it is good we caught the trail from even systems away to here, any later and we would have arrived during the full-on rebellion instead of having a chance to stop it before the escalation." @Maleth | @Keidivh | @Coffeechipmunk "I, the Silver Shroud will see to leading my new Protege, Azure Phantom, and the Psyker for a successful investigation. Two villain-slaying investigators of rightful justice and a witch on the hunt for traitors, what could possibly go wrong?" The Silver Shroud grinned under his helmet. Well he might have pissed her, and Boris earlier off, but not enough to be still seen valuable. The question would be whether the 'Human' and the psyker would be helpful or more of a weight on his ankle. Time will tell soon enough.
"Oooooh the Silver Shroud, how mystical!" Tyesha cooed at the arbitrator, a hint of sarcasm In her voice. "Oh what fun this will be, political intrigue, clan warfare, unkown interlopers! Just like those holovids before I was imprisoned on the black ships." She sighed wistfully, thinking back on it like a fond memory. Then within the blink of an eye she linked her arm to Shrouds, a devilish grin on her face, "Come then Shroud, I'll show you how wrong things can go with me around." She was very curious to see how she would get along with these investigators. They had t pulled a gun on her yet, which was refreshing. (@Uriel1339 @Coffeechipmunk ) "Don't worry Inquisitor, I'll bring one of them back alive!"
~~Deserts of Acela (Raided Camp)- House Karitha territory~~ "It could be heretics, traitors, even Orks for all I care," the Khan replied, gunning his bike towards the signs of activity on the east, "We are going there and we shall ask them what are they doing here. If they don't reply politely, well then we shall simply kill them all and investigate the site. Simple tactics. Also, when the shooting starts, just try not to get in my way friend. I work better alone."
~~Shrine to Saint Thira, House Ortisa's holdings, Acele~~ The Inquisitor gave a long suffering sigh, mostly directed at the Psyker who while respectful towards her and the rest of them to a degree, didn't quite seem to get that flirting with a Xenos was the sort of thing that would have Tyesha shot by far less tolerant Inquisitors. Still at least the witch seemed eager to carry out the will of the Inquisition, which was a good thing in her book. She also snapped at Takeshi's pet Xenos "Kai, just leave the boy for now, we've got Miria to deal with him." Seeing that the team was in agreement over the plan, Alicia then said "Well, seeing as no-one has any other suggestions, Takeshi, your group will have to forgo a Valkyrie to use for transport for the moment; considering that House Tarthen and House Arteno are going need a more overt statement of force and if the source of the taint came from House Harkon, we don't want to tip our hand to them by brazenly charging in. Everyone else, time to get going." With that said, she promply left the Shrine, waiting for Boris and K'tikathat. Casatela then commented "Pissed off the Inqusitor have ya? If you want to reach Merchent's Haven in any decent time, You'll have to borrow a vehicle from House Ortisa, Governor lets them have a few Chimeras, helps them stay on top of the political clusterfrak that is Acelian politics." @DeranVendar @Keidivh @Uriel1339 @Coffeechipmunk @TechCaptain @Vulpas @GoreWrencha @Verticus ~~Deserts of Acela-House Karitha territory~~ As Ogedei advanced towards the activity, it would become apparent that the leader of band the pair had encountered was literally describing a metal cat, as another Xeno-Attack Cat of the type that the foursome of Kais, Pierce, Firebat and K'tikathat encountered during their sojourn to the Underhive of Verdan Prime was clearly visible. However, this time it had upon it a Mark of Khrone upon its head, etched upon its head in brass. Further evidence of its dedication to Chaos was the sharpened teeth and claws, along with something that looked like a Heavy Flamer built within its mouth. Attending the warmachine was a Heretek armed with an Arc Maul and a Macrostubbler. She was being supported by bandits armed with far more primitive weapons such as steel swords and axes, with a few of them possessing polearms and their leader armed with a Chainsword, likely a gift from the Heretek and a metal shield. While the Astartes and Tech-Priest could clearly see that the group was attacking a helpless merchant caravan, which was bravely but foolishly trying to fight off an assault by the brigands. The duo could clearly smell the stench of burning flesh and gunpowder and hear the screams of the dying as they came closer to battle. One of the fighters that was just about to be excuted by the Heretek heared the bike and then saw Ogedei riding towards them on his steed . The man then yelled to what was left of his conrades that were still fighting "Look, the Emperor's Angel of Death! We're saved!" In due course his life was soon cut short by the Heretek's Maul which smashed the man's skull into tiny pieces as she turned to face the interlopers. Seeing who they were she let loose a Binaric screech of "DEATH TO THOSE THAT OPPOSE MY WILL!" (Which defeated the purpose of a war-cry because only Fredrick could understand it), and she then yelled at the bandits in Low Gothic " ATTACK THEM YOU FOOLS!" With grim determination, most of the brigands started to advance upon Ogedei and Fredrick, more fearful of the consequences of failing their boss's ally than the fact they were up against an Angel of Death. K'tikathat, aware of the displeased mob waiting outside, stands reluctantly near the massive doors of the Shrine. He isn't feeling up for rotten vegetable bath, but at least they wont be lynching him while he wears these Seals. That is if they still fear the Inquisitor and aren't openly rioting against her. Maybe tagging right next to the one called Boris will shield him some of the flying greens. K'tikathat waits the loud furhat to leave the Shrine, thinking friendly excuse to walk so close to him. "So, which clan you bet?"
@Maleth @Uriel1339 @Coffeechipmunk Tyesha let out a long exasperated sigh when Alicia said they'd have to walk. "Ugggghhh, walking is so plebeian! Hope you boys like rotten fruit. Also I think I saw them starting to pick up stones for me, soooo. Walk in front of me? Thanks loves." She said to her two new companions, promptly shoving them in front of her. "So what's the scoop on this House Harkon?" She looked over a dusty tome she had picked up to try and learn more of this rock.
~~Deserts of Acela-House Karitha territory~~ @Maleth @Warsmith_Dantioch "Time to get this show on the road," White Scar nodded to himself as Malaya spun to life. Riding his bike down, he aimed his twin storm bolters on the enemy Heretek, unleashing the salvo of bolts at the corrupted servant of the Mechanicus, intent on killing that opponent first. Using the speed of his steed to his advantage, Ogedei also unpinned his krak grenade and threw it on the mechanized cat robot in order to slow it down or perhaps even cripple it in the process, since he deduced the robot and the Heretek near it were his two biggest concerns at the moment.
@Maleth | @Keidivh | @Coffeechipmunk "They have stolen knowledge for their own gain. Also you are awfully cheerful, almost as if the black star I call life has not touched upon you yet, then again it is probably the simple psychological fact that the happiest of personas have seen the worst horrors of life, yes? I assume you gazed more than once in the Immaterium having seen horrors we may not even face in our worst nightmares." The Arbites noted tactically and shrugged slightly. "Let us gain a chimera then." And so the Silver Shroud made for the way to lead outside and find someone who could fetch them a tank.
@Uriel1339 Tyesha giggled at Shrouds observations, "Not bad good looking. Yeah, you could say I'm pretty chipper for someone who hears demons screaming in her mind every day! And I still manage to this attractive!" She flipped her short purple hair to add emphasis. "Aww what a gentleman, getting me a ride! You know how to treat a lady Shroud." She pulled up her hood and followed him out, ready for whatever food substance the peasants had for her.
"Every woman is insane, you at least do not attempt to hide it. That should earn some reward, should it not?" The relatively young man noted, people like her was the reason he had a job after all, and Tyesha appeared to not to be a threat so far. Then again, she didn't start throwing lightning bolts out of her palms yet.
