@Uriel1339 "Come in!" Alicia called, and as Takeshi entered he would find the Inquisitor, clad in a simple, black bodyglove rather than the formal dress she wore while on Verdan Prime. She was sat behind a well crafted desk with a fairly large stack of paperwork on the tray marked "Done" and a fairly small pile on the tray marked "To do." With the paperwork nearly done, she put her quill down so it may rest in in its ink pot while she said "So, what about the Xenos would you like to talk to me about?"
"As per your order, or better said as my contract states in article four, page 21, paragraph 3, I have taken the liberty to have assessed the prisoner on potential recruitability after the specimen having fought on our side against the Arch-nemesis of the Imperium of Mankind, also known as 'Heretic'. After my assessment of physical and mental status of the Tau specimen, self-designated 'Sha'la Tash'Var Kais', or 'Kai' in short, I have come to the conclusion that the Tau, unlike the Kroot, could make a fine infiltration unit on long-term and not just for hunting purposes. It would offer you, the client, the best possible outcomes in the future after training to an Interrogator and Infiltrator under my oversight have been completed. The Tau could infiltrate Xenos-sympathist cults as a fresh recruit or even potentially impersonate cells led by female Tau individuals. However, in order to turn the alien into a capable infiltrator, we will require full-body armor hiding every alien facette and sign of hers, in order to convince common humans that she is nothing but another human amongst us. Of course only to prevent events such as on our last visit to a banquet. Last but not least, in order to make her more efficient on the field, I suggest the codename Azure Phantom for her. It is an ideal name given her skin color, species and purpose." As his statement was completed he simply gave Alicia a courteous bow, protocol having been completely fulfilled.
The Inqusistor found Takeshi's somewhat overly longwinded explanation of the Xenos' usefulness somewhat odd coming from him, so she said, calmly and delibertly "Well, you would tell me that the Xenos might make a useful infiltrator for a cult and I can see the reasoning behind it, but.... I think you fail to grasp that its fundamental untrustworthiness because it is a Xenos makes it a fools gamble to try the idea? Because how can I trust such an Alien with such an important task and have it carry out my will, because it may take the chance to escape, or truly incite rebellion for their belief of the "Greater Good?" Even the Kroot knows better than to risk my ire." Alicia sighed, and then said "If you still believe it would be wise to trust it with such a role, first I must see that it can do as I command it to. Therefore, our next stop at Tharsax III will be the chance it gets to prove itself worthy of my time and effort. As for the code name, it's melodramatic but it works. I shall arrange for work to be carried out so that at least it is made clear that the Tau works under Inquisitorial mandate, and afterwards I shall see if it worth making it appear human." Having given the Enforcer her view on the matter she got back to her paperwork, but always ready to listen to Takeshi further if he wished to carry on the conversation.
"I put a year's worth of my contract on the table that I trust the Alien that it will not bail on us, nor betray us. I will make sure of it, as sure as the Cardinal's head cracked open by my maul. Will the Tau dare to betray you, I will bring swift justice to it, myself. The Kroot is in the end still a beast that will not be tamed nor will learn. The Tau is far more sentient and has potential to be molded. If you wanted it not to have the opportunity to join your retinue you would have killed it on the spot. I know you that well by now, Inquisitor." He said with an indifferent facial expression and crossed arms. "I do not wish it to work under Inquisitorial Mandate just yet. It has to prove itself. Rather I want it to be under Imperial service on my behalf, under Chapter fourteen, page one-hundred-sixteen, paragraph six. Also known as the 'Minion clause'. She will have the same rights and will oblige to the same command as I myself. However there will be no expected raise in payment as the minion and the mercenary, I, fall under the same priorly discussed payroll and that I will be responsible for any damages occured by the minion, and so on." Waving a hand dismissively, Takeshi rested his eyes on the figure of the Inquisitor. "As such, I entrust however that you will make arrangements with the specimen directly, or through one of your servants of how we can disguise the Tau without compromising its combat capabilities. Thank you for your time." Hand on heart he bowed once more, this time a bit deeper. Would she have nothing to reply - he would turn on the heel and march off.
K'tikathat interrupts his meal to feel shiver on his back. He is certain someone is talking about him, and not in complementary tone. Call it sixth sense or animal intuition, but K'tikathat can sometimes feel when someone thinks about him. Usually it means trouble. Given they are in confined spaces, this could be problematic. Has one of the unit finally had enough with the Kroot? Or it could be blood poisoning causing neural damage. K'tikathat pokes his swollen muscles around the wounds. Maybe he should eat purifying herbs, though doubly such can be found on this ship. Night will be feverish, K'tikathat sighs and returns to munching the progressed protein product.
Upon reaching the holding cells to realize that each cell was empty, Ferenien assumed the Tau prisoner was probably dumped out the airlock. Nodding at the self-assurance, Votum dropped the 'Talking to a Tau' documentary idea completely. The Scion left the holding cells, thinking now, he could bring up the idea of 'Talking to a Kroot' documentary. That's it. Ferenien started off a new journey to the Kroot's last known position to familiarize himself with one of the 'inhuman' comrades he has been assigned to accompany.
When Taksehi left, Alicia found that she had the time to finish off the paperwork and consider how exactly to go about the issue of the Tau that Takeshi was vouching for.... Perhaps with a little bit of paint, changing the markings and adding a few extra bits of Carapace, she could make the Fire Warrior armour look to the common observer as if it was a suit of Carapace armour, which would be enough for the purpose of testing the Xenos' loyalty. ~~~Few days later, Obsidian Wraith, in orbit around Feudal World Tharsax III~~~ (OOC: May use Before tags if there's anything you want to wrap up!) As the Frigate settled in orbit around the new world from its Warp jump, The Inquisitor was not stirring in bed, but rather already in the Briefing room, waiting for everyone to arrive. To her, it seemed that the work of those that stood against the Ruinous Powers was never done as having uncovered that the Cardinal of Verdan Prime was corrupted by someone or something here, and it was up to them to find out where the taint came from. So she sent a runner to gather up the retinue, and as they entered they would find the Hololith already showing the planet in it's glory, with two main landmasses, with the first one notable on Sector level for a Shrine dedicated to the unofficial Saint Hertith, for whom it was their birthplace. A small sidebar explained that she had been responsible for securing the downfall of a warlord who had the mad desire of ruling the Ternaic Sector free from Imperial rule with the aid of the Ruinous Powers, but the rebellion had been crushed within the short time frame of four decades before it threated more important planets and subsectors. Also of note was the fairly small space station orbiting the planet, which the Hololith tagged as the Plantary Governor's residence, for the simple reason of making sure that the Governor could oversee all of his domain rather than just one of the continents ~~~~~~~~~~~~ @Uriel1339 @Colapse @Coffeechipmunk @Verticus @Vulpas @TechCaptain @Shadhunter @DeranVendar @High_Adept_Zeth @GoreWrencha
"A governor who does not even want to live on his own planet, it smells of villainous deceit." The Silver Shroud noted, marching in. The moment the Inquisitor had dropped in the prior brief meeting between the two, the world's name he already conducted his own research. At his side was his trusty aide, and far less alien-looking Tau Fire Warrior, Kai (@Coffeechipmunk ). The Arbitrator once again fully clad in armor, including his helmet stood where he was supposed to sit, guessing it would be short enough to not get unnecessarily comfortable. "I assume you already have once more a task for each of us planned out which would maximise our chances of righteous justice against the darkness this sector has succumbed to?" It was not eagerness in his voice, but the need to finish up the case. The prior deployment was nothing but a ruse, a prologue to the actual mind behind all of what has happened. More fighting would ensue most likely, it will be interesting to see how the Tau will do.
Pierce came down the hall moving silently testing his steps with his new leg still getting used to it not being as silent, padding on his boot helped with sound dampening as he entered the briefing room. He spotted there arbite and the tau with what looked to be imperial armor. Pierce gave no emotion of what he felt but it was odd seeing a xeno using imperial equipment, Likely heresy in some book, but for now the inqusitor allowed it to perform the work of the emperor, for that was there duty. "Indeed, It is odd for a imperial governor not to stay on a world he rules and instead a space station, will be harder to eliminate if he is found tainted." Pierce said agreeing with the silver shroud
