So what's everyone's take on their effectiveness?

Rusty Gob is flat out great, no doubts on that.
What it gives for 150 LP is a steal in comparison to most other upgrades.

Iron Gob is pretty good too for what it gives.
300 LP's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for I suppose.

Now the Golden Gob though, I can't tell if it's working or if I'm just trying to justify the 500 LP cost in my head.
+25 health on top of all the other benefits is nice but is it 500 LP nice?

Basically what I'm asking is should I take the Golden Gob offa me Nob klasses in exchange for better weaponry.

Honestly depends on your personal playstyle. If you wanna be tanky then the Golden Gob ain't a bad choice, though I honestly find it more useful on my Loota Nob than the others since you can't move around that good.

Devs response to the wonky LP is that they intended for that kind of equipment to only show up on Nobz.

However, they are looking at re-balancing LP of equipment in the next 1-2 major patches. So, wait and see.
  4. Gobs are for pure Flash right now, even on Vets.

Look dope but honestly better off picking other wargear options.

Gold gob is pretty much a nob only item. Great for defensive builds and playstyles but still hard to keep alive on offense unless your team actually cordinates. The massive toughness is amazing on full toughness build with a lot of effective hp. I've had power sword hits take multiple hits just to get through my armor.

Rusty and silver gobs are good for certain builds. Good luck fitting gold gob on a storm boy nob btw. I'd rather take the armor.

You can fit a Golden Gob onto a Painboy Dok pretty easily. Other vets...not so much, better options around. You can fit 'Eavy Armor/Golden Gob/Sparky Slugga/Dok Bombs and that's really all you need.

Iron is actually pretty good on a base Shoota. Take it + 'Ard Armor and rock 150 toughness on a Shoota with a Big Shoota...it's gross. You have to give up the nade or med kit though.

The only Nob class I've actually put any Gob on is my Loota, entirely because there's not a lot else you can sink LP in to until you can mod your weapon. And it is rather good, out shooting most things. However, one thing that having 560 combined armor and health with 160 toughness doesn't stop is Dark Reaper Starshot.

Now, Here comes the- i guess I'll call it 'wrath' of Eldar players but. Given there's little to no warning the white ball of death is flying at you, you will die, suddenly and in strange circumstances until you see what killed you. I've had a reaper pop out behind a crate, pop their missile that killed me then be in cover almost immediately again. I think they started charging it before stepping out. It sort of renders Loota Nobs pointless, as there easy static targets.

Yeah Loota Nobs honestly don't make too much sense to have right now. Makes you wanna ask the devs for some kind of buff or extra equipment option that Loota Nobs can have for more survivability, or just a more attractive option than it currently is.

If your in a Hold the Line map with anything but Eldar, their honestly not bad. Just be mindful of Lascannons sniping you. I've beat JPA's in melee with my Loota Nob. I wonder if we'll get something to actually increase the weapons durability or spikey gubbinz ta me da meleee more damaging. Dem deffguns is as 'eavy as zog!

Yeah I'm hoping that one of the mods for the heavy weapons is an increase to melee damage, like spikes on the sides of the barrel or something. Anything to give us a chance up close would be most appreciated (especially since I love using the kannon more than anything).
