  1. Before getting all the way back to his kitchen/abattoir/brewery/shrine, Tugg went a bit of foraging for the food supplies and what not, taking with him barrel, bag and meat, telling the Halfling staff that he would have something cooked up for the mercenary group in not too long.

with himself snacking at the at everything while cooking, it still dident take too long before the strange smell of Tuggs cooking spread, and the halflings could come down to bring it out to the warband, while Tugg ofcause took the largest portion, he was the biggest after all.

After walking down to Constantine's office and finding out that her employer wanted her to secure the backdoor to the castle with her gift (and with her both slaying the Grandmaster, cleansing the Castle and now this task, she felt that her employer was starting to rely on her), Alozia took the glass of red wine, took a sip of the fine liquid then replied: "Yes, I know a few spells for warding and warning so I'll be able to keep the caves secured.... My only question is if you would like anyone coming via the caves to be able to come out alive and wiser for going down there, or shall I prepare a ward that can harm or even outright kill just in case a would be intruder is not put off by a bit of pain?"

Taking another sip of the lovely drink Constantine had poured for her, the Druchii then commented towards the new arrival of the knight (@DeezNuts ): "And good grief, another knight who's skills only reside in the strength of their arms and the smallness of their intellect, it's almost as if we don't seem to get anyone who actually understands how to use magic anymore."
After that little lament of the lack of magical talent that only she and the Ogre now provided, the Sorceress then adjusted one of her shoulder pads as she waited for her boss to give his verdict on merely hurting or outright killing those that tried to use the back door. While she was curious about the magical aura she'd felt during the battle being dismissed by something in her employer's office, she felt that now wasn't the right time to raise that inquiry.

OOC: If anyone's having trouble picturing what Alozia's clothing looks like, it's essentially this:

"As much as I'd like to slay any intruder without a question asked, I think it would be better if your warding only incapacitates the said person and leave him in a decent enough shape to be interrogated afterwards," Constantine replied to Aloiza, "Just how strong this kind of a spell would be or how would it work exactly I leave to your imagination."

Hearing Pierre's reply, Constantine nodded with a smile, "If you are as courageous as the rest of the Bretonnian Knights I've had the honor to meet and know, I'm sure that our company will have much use for you. Here, this is the standard adventurer's contract we have," he said and took out a piece of paper alongside a pen and handed it over to Pierre to read through it.

"So basically this is it - I and my friends over here represent a powerful mercenary guild with the location in Altdorf and we specialize in various things, most of them being solving other people's problems and acquiring until then impossible-to-acquire artifacts from various hostile locations."

"If you accept, for every completed mission you will receive 150 golden coins, with possible bonuses including but not limited to: items, weapons, real estates. If you die during the length of the contact, your remains will be dealt with according to your wish or your faith and your belongings as well as the rest of your gold will be transferred to your families. If you don't have one, it will be donated to Temple of Shallya in Middenheim. You will also have a place to stay and will receive free medical care, blacksmith services and food as long as you are the member. There are only two rules - we always do our job to the fullest and we don't kill innocents. Since we now have this castle as the base of operations, when you sign the contract you'll be immediately given a room here of your own choosing as well as various facilities to accommodate your needs for prayer, training and so on."

However as the men got back up on their feet and slowly began picking up the weapons to use in this new exercise, four Halflings showed up carrying a big caldron filled with some sort of a meal made by their Butcher. Since they were not in the middle of a fight and it was time for lunch anyway, the villagers-turned-soldiers headed over to the Halflings to pick up the plates and their share of the food.

"Smells fine I tell ya, and tastes even better!" Grigor said while Jareth and his boys were already digging into it, belching loudly as they did so for the ladies were out of sight at the moment, leaving Kristoff and Xiuhcoatl with nothing better to do and perhaps even angry for the sheer lack of disrespect (which these villagers probably didn't had the intention of achieving, but food was food and starving under the yoke of their Vampire overlords left them in a poor state when it came to that). A Halfling also approached Tuska and handed him the filled plate, the Black Orc having time to sit down and eat in peace.

OOC Letting @Grall_Stonefist to describe the looks of the food if he wants and share the secret ingredient :D But even if he doesn't say it, I will incorporate it in my next post :D

"Worry not lass, your heirloom is safe in Master Ori's hands," Dwarf said, taking the armor with practiced care, "As soon as I finish building this chainmail suit for our Saurian friend, I'll do the stuff I planned on doing on your armor. So expect it finished in two or three days."
  4. With Kolja going into town and taking a few of the halflings with him Tuska found himself left alone at the gate as the others also went to go about their own business. He let off a annoyed grunt and simply followed the wolf priests and lizard man into the barracks and mostly just ignored their yelling and talking of training. When the halflings brought in food and gave him a plate he took it greedily and shoveled it's contents into his mouth not really caring what was on it. Upon finishing it he grabbed whatever that was near that rembled drink which just so happened to be the caldron and lifted it up and drank a good portion of it's contents the rest wait her spilling onto the floor or somehow managing to stay in the caldron.

Having eaten this rather large meal which quite frankly was probably meant for everyone not just him (like he cared) he let the caldron go letting it fall to the ground with a thud and went back outside into the court yard the new gits were supposed to be training in. He sat down leaning against a wall and decided to take a nap and let his large stomach settle.

Pierre signed his name on the contract after reading through it carefully, as well as listening to the man as he spoke. Looking to Constantine he slowly slid the contract back to him "A questing knight is bound by his honor to never sleep under the same moon twice. I require nothing more than a tent so that I may pitch it in a different location each night. As for pay, I only require what I ask for within reason, gold does not interest me, only items that strengthen my body and soul with which I may serve the Lady better do. After all, I am no mercenary, but a servant to the Lady of the Lake and all of her glory".

Having finished his business with Constantine Pierre would slowly stride towards the exit of the office, stopping just before he stepped out into the hallway. "You would be wise not to overestimate yourself and your magic m'lady, I hear the winds aren't too useful when your head no longer rests on its shoulders, I would reccomend focusing on your sword arm more often". Speaking his words of wisdom to the arrogant woman who thought so highly of herself Pierre would take his leave, immediately heading to the courtyard where he may indulge in some entertainment with the other warriors of the company.

Stepping out to see everybody eating lunch and the rather large ork from before eating what was likely seconds for everybody else Pierre sighed. Having already ate his lunch before he came to the castle Pierre decided that punishing the ork for his actions wasn't worth the time or effort it would take. So instead the knight simply paced over to where the wolf priest and lizard man were. "If you're intent on training this militia, perhaps I could assist?"

Kristoff eyes flared with anger as he glared at the halflings that so easily distracted this motley force of 'guards'. He gave an encouraging pat on the back to the Lizardman with him, feeling bad they were so easily distrcted from his words."A fine speech friend. But it seems we may need to get their attention in a more simple fashion. He would have asked Tuska to help whoop them in to shape, but seeing as he already blacked out, he'd have to do it himself. However of all people the new knight decided to come and assist, much to his amusement.

"Well, well, look at you knight. Not afraid you'll get a scuff mark?" He gave a punch to his shoulder in jest before making his way over to the guards. "Feel free friend, we'll divide them into three teams.

As he approached Grigor and Jareth he gave them a warm smile and grabbed their shoulders. "Glad to see you are having your fill. Does it taste good my friends?" Before they could respond he slammed the two mens heads together, letting them collapse ungracefully at his feet as he stepped over them.

"Ignore orders again and it will be your last. NOW FORM UP! Grigor with me, Jareth with Xiuhcoatl, Bronston with Pierre, ten in each squadron.

He then turned back to Lizardman and Brettonian. "Arm them as you see fit, and organize them accordingly. The practice weapons are blunt and harmless, although they leave nice bruises, so don't be worried." With that said Kristoff gathered his unit and armed them with practice halberds, and giving each a small round shield to strap to their left arm.

OOC: Arm your group and let the battle begin! :D

However as Kristoff pounded the heads of Grigor and Jareth, both men dropped on the ground and didn't rise up. What looked like a horrible accident swiftly changed into a domino effect as all the members of the militia began dropping on the ground, dazed out from the meal they just had. It looked a bit comical at that, since despite Wolf Priest's shouting there was no way the men were waking up for such was the strength of the Butcher's cuisine, especially when you add a sizeable amount of vodka as your main "seasoning". Tuska was perhaps the only one who wasn't "forced" into passing out but since the Black Orc decided to take a nap, it looked the same to all the others.

As it gave a sad nod to the rather kind words from the wolf priest, it could only watch as the men around them began passing out even after their heads were knocked together rather violently."....Is this normal for you Warmbloods? I guess the battle practice is delayed for now." Xiuhcoatl question as he nudged some of the sleeping militiamen. He took a empty bowl himself and scooped some of the concoction made by the Ogre. It smelled good to him, so down a bowl into his gullet. And then another, and another, and another, it had to admit that this was better than anything he had imagine the Ogre would have made for them. With everyone else knocked out, the lizardman help himself to his fill of the cauldron. "We can still patrol the castle, not leave it completely defenseless for now." It suggested to both the Kristoff and the bretonnian newcomer, especially now that the guards are sleeping here in the barracks.

Pierre chuckled at Kristoff's words and watched him slam the mens head together, only for them to not rise. From the looks of it the entire garrison fell into a deep slumber only seconds later and Pierre as well as the two others were left as the only conscious warriors. "I believe the lizard is correct, we should patrol if the entire garrison is unable to move. After all, I did not slay that Bestigor but a mere dozen miles or so from this castle. There could very well be more of them, and closer". Assuming the othhers would agree Pierre would place his helm back on his head, the large bronze bull at its top looking forward with a look of pure rage in its metalic eyes. "Ladies first" Pierre spoke as he gestured towards the gate, looking directly at the other two.
  10. The Saurian looked around quizzically after helping itself to another bowl and then looked at the knight. "I do not see Mariah here." It said, not getting the jest Pierre was making at the two of them. Taking a much larger bowl of food for on the march, the Temple guard went towards the door but stopping by Kristoff first. "When we come back and they're awake, we'll just be a bit harsher on them." he said with a toothy smirk, referring to the guards before exiting the door.
