heyyoh there Grall here. i have been thinking about this for a long time, and has come to the decision that i am now willing to try being GM for the first time. And i have been thinking about this RP for a while, and as the title says, old school piratering in Caribbean in the start of the 1700 century, i will be stealing ideas and inpiration with arms and legs, mainly from AC4, Sid Meyers pirates and ofcouse pirates of the Caribbean, so sometimes something slightly mytholigal or historically inacurat will happen, actually quiet alot of that since you might rewrite history . you will ofcouse also be able to just become tradesmen or priveteres, if you can talk the captain into it, or get your own ship. you can be a woman, but you better rp it good, becouse a woman means bad luck on a ship wounds will be a bad thing since we are in olde times, so maybe dont get too atached to a carectar, for a bullet wound might just kill you on the long run. also, remember to eat and drink, or else im giving you scurvy any other quistions about the setting, just ask ill be happy to answer. The play style will be like most RP's on this forum, exept i might roll a dice or 2 every now and then, you will be making the classic Schematic in here, but i will only let you start out with 1 trait, maybe 2 if you have a flaw that will counterweight it properbly, youll all start out with equiment acording to you starting job, with all can take, some jobs will have a limit and there fore the first to claim will be the one who gains. test schema: Player Name: Grall Stonefist name: John Rogers Class/job: captain of a schooner Age:45 native country: Ireland Gear: Dandy clothing, leather breast armor, leather leg and arm guards. basic flintlock pistol, well crafted cutlass.. Traits: able captain. swordsman. Flaws: overweight, short temper, not as young as he used to, heavy drinker. Backstory: you might find out if you learn to know him. ((a backstory is a nice thing, but its okay if you dont have any)) . Special jobs on the first boat ((first to claim, first to gain)) 1 Lookout: you will be sitting up high on the main mast, you dont need to do much hard physical labour compared to others, but keep a good grib, for if you fall there is a long way down, also you gotta stay up there doing a storm (unless you wanna go against the captains orders). Lookout will be given a free flintlock rifle and a spyglass. CLAIMED 1 Tallyman: your job will to make sure that everything is where its supposed to be, you need to check if the powder is dry and that no food or drink is stolen by the crew. youll get a flintlock pistol and a light sword, notebook, ink and feather. CLAIMED only two special jobs you can take from the start in this ship, but act well and you might become quartermaster, or if you like to sing and drink, you might become the shanty man. the rest of you, will be simply shiphands and sailors, and start with a cutlass, unless you can give me a good reason for other equipment here is a little to set the mood. OOC: its a small schooner, and the captain is an old drunk, there will be beskojters and little fish, the ship has 5 connons on each side its a crappy ship. but the captain demands a tallyman, for he allmost trades more than he raids. also, carpentars and surgeons would require special skill, and for now everybody is just low level scrubs. Cooks comes with money or skill same with carpentars and surgeons

Name: Reiner Van Noort Occupation: Deckhand Age: 22 Native country: Holland Gear: Simple sailor's uniform, boarding axe Traits--->Nimble: Fast on his feet and thin as a wire, keeping a hold of this fellow is quite hard since he learned to escape most grips on the mean streets of Rotterdam. As a crewman, he earns his pay by scrambling through the web of rigging that connects the masts to the deck, furling and unfurling the sails at the captains command. Flaws--->Weak: Malnourished from childhood, he learned to run and escape from other gangs rather than slug it out since most of the other youths were older and stronger than him. This plagues him even now as he is much weaker than most other sailors. Backstory: Sort of already explained it xD

Traits: Charismatic / Diplomat (Med-High Society only) - Leo is a good talker due to his past and is capable of getting ppl easier to do what he wants. Though this only applies only to those which can endure his royal tongue, most 'lower scum' will rather go crazy at him and want to steal his coat! Loyal - Leo is a very loyal man and usually holds his promises when he makes them. Flaws: Lack of Ship Knowledge - Leo most of the time gets the terms messed up and has no really idea what a ship is about, making him look very stupid. Bad Shooter - Leo hated the hunt with his family, he is rather a swordsman than a shooter. Reloading and aiming both is slow and bad. Therefor if he draws a pistol it is rather to intimidate the opponent than truly going to kill them. Backstory: All that is known about Leopold Maximilian is that he comes from some royal family back in Prussia and joined the crew for some adventure. Why exactly he abandoned the royal life is unknown to the others though. But it seems his past gives him skills above the average in math and 'fancy talk', though many despite him because he doesn't know any naval lingo.

I'm already here!" Jorge was really strong. This was most probably since in his family they usually did a lot of manual work. "Duel? I love duels!" Jorge has a natural talent for duelling with flintlock pistols. Flaws: "I'm watching you..." Jorge feels like someone is watching him all the time and has grown suspicious that someone might be trying to kill him all the time. "Wine? WHERE?!" Jorge has a weakness that if there is wine, he HAS to look at it. And maybe buy some. Maybe. Backstory: Jorge hit his head quite badly the other day and can't seem to remember much, except that he's from a village in Aragon, and that the broken pistol is from his father, who was a complete jackass.
