Would it ever be possible to get a version of the old maps where the atmosphere was what it used to be where it's dark and the weather is actually noticeable ?

There's another thread that talks about this but honestly I think having a day/night version of maps would really help break up how stale some of the maps become... I was looking at old screen shots and videos from founders access and early access and really liked how pegasus looked when it was dark and you could actually notice the snow. Then you had torias where the rain was noticeable and it was a bit darker.. Honestly I wanna see the weather come back to the levels it once was but just have it under graphics options and only enabled when it's set to ultra while high is what we have right now.


Anyway anyone else missing the old weather/lighting ? For those of you who never seen the old versions look no farther than the steam page they actually have screen shots of the old lighting and weather... This is from when Torias was added and zoran the bear was focusing on EC and you can see it looked WAY better than it does now.



Even if the lighting and weather comes back as graphics options only I would be 100% fine with that as right now most of the maps look very... flat.

yeah i think a lot of the effects they've put in recently are nice at first, but once you actually look at them they're pretty bad and use a lot of resources
