What are your impressions of the latest releases from the two newsletters? Most recently, we've gotten this new vision of a EC Space Marine, which seems to be striking an nice balance between performance practicality and the recent warhammer codex artwork: Secondly, we've gotten our first look at the environmental style from the newsletter prior: What do you guys think of each of these? I like the general direction, though wouldn't mind seeing some brighter, starker environments like mountains or desert, which is more in line with the terrain I used to use in TT. Ahh, nostalgia. Anyway, what other kinds of environments or styles would people like to see?
That's my opinion; More like that: EC proportions again for comparison: The environments are great though.
The first image is not a rendering of the game, but an artistic rendering (A pretty rough), surely different from what will be the game. For the second, it's a 3D rendering, not bad. For cons, the tree in the background is a bit simplistic I think and the texture on the ground is weird but the base is nice. Thank you for the pictures
It was also in the news : I think if 3d rendering is like the rough, it'll be a nice planet (a place of hell) to fight, and do toursime xD
If this is where they are now i am truely excited for whats to come. Then i look at the first and say: its a space marine, and it looks cool, then its good for me. Secound, long time to release yet still hopeing that they are making progress. most dude the singel picture gives very little to whats in the entire game. yet: ... fell like i got hit by a hype train and now iam on it. really cant wait.
I'm well aware it isn't a render, but their stated reason for including it was that it was "representative of their art direction". I don't think they have finalized 3D assets for the SM wargear yet, so this is what they went with. They made it sound like it was more than a rough concept, and that this general direction would be closer to the final product.
