True, but these new animations are ugly and graceless - if they want to get inspiration from old 80's or 90's fighting games there are virtually dozens of more suitable for the Eldar attacks, acrobatic ones and yet more realistic than this "up and down" stomping. They can even look at any modern martial arts mixed with artistry for inspiration - say, capoeira, mixture of both dancing and fighting - very graceful, impressive and perfectly fits the Eldar's artistic approach to the close combats - I would definitely prefer my scorpion or banshee to dbash something like that, relying more on their agility and swiftness instead of applying brute force which, in their current case, looks awkward and out of place. I dont mean they have to literally dance in dbashes but the whole pattern and smoothness of their movements combined with acrobatic focus and sharpness is something which, to my mind, fits the Eldar much better - like their somersaultings in dashes.
