Well..... Such Praising, Much Responsibility, wow.... This Doge-Necron cannot deny and so I shall be your Lord! (We go with scenario 2 as that seems what we all enjoy most) I was the first to awake from what seemed an eternal slumber, I am not quite sure how many millenias have passed away since the Rebellion... Neither am I aware what woke me, but I felt power returning to me and I simply knew it was time to rise, to demand our bodies back from those which have taken them, the ones we have rebelled against. My loyal subjects and I shall reign over what belonged to us and take.... more.... The ones out of flesh and blood do not understand what we go through, just like the Old Ones did never understand us. And so Communication with anyone but other Necrontyr would be unnecessary and just danger to our secrets and existence... Though how many more Tombworlds were awake? Or were we the last ones? No.... The Silent King is too mighty and intelligent to fall.... Or are we returning upon his call? It does not matter... I started to awake my loyal subjects, starting with the main Monolith and my Lychguard escort, then Necron after Necron from highest rank first, going to lower ranks later. With a few workers back to life the Generators started to return to life and power up the rest of the Tombworld, it still would take weeks if not months until all Warriors would come back to my command, but I shall take the Surface in the meanwhile... And so it happened that the Necrons of Birahn II came to life and the leader of this tombworld, Lord Ythak, known for his devastating tactics was standing on the very surface with only a fifth of his army ready, but he was sure it was all that was required to take this world. The army ready to march, he sent Wraiths forth to scout what enemies might have came to his world. OOC: Places in the army that can be taken (Recommendation ; you still can take other spots, but that is what I think would be best if used by players): - Crpyteks (up to 5, one for each mastery) - Lychguard (up to 4) - Deathmarks (up to 3) - Destroyer (up to 2) - Immortal (up to 3) - Wraith (up to 2) I chose these as they are not brainless like Warriors for example are and can certainly serve in more ways than just go and kill. Immortals also can speak as they sometimes / often lead Warriors. Destroyers I just made available to give some different roles.
The slumber had been the most peaceful time in Tohltek's life. No anger or malice, simply the calm cold silence of death without the blackness and numbness that came with it. But after eons of slumber a spark entered Tohltek's mind, spurring thought and processing once more. -Systems check: Active undamaged- -designation: Destroyer- -class: Heavy- "Alright. Alright enough..." He grumbled waving his hand to dismiss the frivolous checks. His body radiated charge and he felt it. His right arm pulsed as the energy inside his heavy gauss cannon ached to fry organics. Slowly he activated his gravity harness, lifting him up above the heads of the other necrons, a place he enjoyed more than he probably should. It was not long before Tohltek realized his objective indicator was blank, leaving him questioning what exactly he was to do in this dark tomb.
Name: Ovaius Class: Deathmark Gear: Necrodermis, Synaptic Disintegrator Special, Dimensional Oubliette Background: Even before assuming the machine like shell of the Necrons, Ovaius was a prodigy when it came to range combat. Able to spot the weak point in any armor and fire on it before other snipers can even get the target ranged correctly, this marksman's skill was elevated when he took on the cold exterior of the machine. Over the Millenniums he has boasted the destruction of countless enemy field commanders, and his greatest achievement came when he single handedly pinned and destroyed a rival necron lord and his entire retinue, a total of six kills (1 lord and 5 lychguards). He repeated this performance to an even greater scale when he ambushed another lord, and at near point blank range destroyed the pursuing destroyers that were set out to hunt him down, firing the disintergrator into the destroyers within melee range. For these feats the Lord Ythak award Ovaius an extremely strong Synaptic Disintegrator, able to pierce even a Lychguard's shield from the front. After being dormant for the past century, he has awaken again to stalk his victims at Lord Ythak's command, as single green light appeared in the dark caverns of Birahn II.
Name: Vitokh Rank: Lychguard Equipment: hyperphase sword and dispersion shield Background: Not much is known of Vitokh before the sleep, but what is known is that he was a bodyguard of lord Ythak and a powerful force in hand to hand combat. As Vitokh became machine, he lost anything that would weaken him such as pain or tiring in combat. He gained strength and power, and he was ready to do what his lord bid him. Vitokh stood, hefting his hyper phase sword and his dispersion shield. He ran a system check - Condition : Undamaged. All systems functioning at one hundred percent. "Excellent" Vitokh said in a deep mechanical tone, closing the system check. He stood, waiting for a command from his lord.
Semi. No Lore Breaking but Lore Bending and adding is okay. This means Necron Warriors and Flayed ones do not have suddenly some kind of brain and are individuals etc. Also that your guys can die, etc. But for example let's say a Predator Laser Cannon hits a Necron Warrior well he cannot really survive that lol. But since this is more for entertainment and not real story development I want to keep it light on Lore-connection (especially since my Necron Knowledge is not that good)
Ythak standing at the main gates of his tombworld, wide open now as his army starts to mobilize and march. "Rise my loyal subjects, Millenias have passed and it is our time to regain our world and take what is ours to be! Form around me!" He says pride and makes sure the command has been given also to the more autonomous soldiers among his ranks. As he was standing and looked from the mountain he was standing on down among the desert world he went through his memories, to the times before they went to slumber... And he wondered if Vitokh, Ovaius and Tohltek resurrected from their sleep yet as they were some of his best, especially Ovaius who was one of the main reasons that Ythak was able to take over a whole rival tombworld and double his forces easily. Vitokh, protected him once and almost sacrificed himself in the name of his lord, he was the leader of his Lychguard for a good reason. He was ready to die in the name of his lord and execute actions and make sure those orders would be executed which had been given. Tohltek, Tohltek was a heavy destroyer that took down a whole Monolith Phalanx with his Destroyers under his command and the support of some Immortals. Yes... These and more of his army were necessary to take over this world once more, he would be not able to do it on his own. And so it delighted him even more as he saw the first Wraith ascending out of the tombs and spread over the world to scout the world and their enemy.
As the Tomb Lord watched his army slowly shake off their slumbers in the pale green light, a shadow materialized next to him. The legendary deathmark, slipped back into the present dimension, his custom disintergrator by his side. He did not speak, for he knew that the Necron lord already knew of his presence. So as the two watched the Canoptek Spyders busy themselves below, a necron warrior approached the convoy. The Lychguards who have already awakened parted for the messenger, and the warrior quickly went up to Lord Ythak. "The first of the tomb stalkers have breached the surface my lord. It seems as though this world's flora has grown anew, and the first of the scouts reported hostile lifeforms as well as sentients that fired upon us. The scouting party engaged, then fall back. A larger war party is now on its way to the location of encounter to eliminate the threat, otherwise we await more breakthroughs and reports from the surface to arrive." Ovaius remained statue still, his one "eye" scanning over all of the main cavern, practicing his spotting skill on the allied units as he awaited the thoughts and orders from Ythak on what the present situation demands next. OOC: it's a tomb world but some death world stuff have infested part of the surface, hence the hostile lifeforms, the sentients can be up to you as to what they are Urian. I left that part open so anyone can add to the story itself.
OOC: thanks for the aid Jester, nice additions you made there! "Ovaius..." Ythak started without turning to him. "Walk around the mountain we are on and see from which direction we might expect enemies and where the position is to our advantage." His Staff of Light glowing as he stabs it into the ground like a flag, the Resurrection Orb in his other hand. Who might be the first to feel my power? Ythak thought to himself and then finally turned to his scouting party who just arrived. "Describe me the enemy." he demanded while each passing minute more of his troops gathered behind him.
