Naming policy; would appreciate it

So far in alpha I've come across individuals who use names like analfister, cocksucker and mr.rape.

I started playing orkz yesterday, and their "community" seems wonderful, where 95% of people actually have somewhat orkish names, which is unlike all the other factions. I'm not asking for everyone to do that though, but I think it would be nice if the administrators, post-launch, from time to time deleted characters with names like analfister, cocksucker or mr.rape without warning.

    Thank you for the consideration,

    Regards,

Agree about it. The most wandering part is that some are seeing it like a fun.
About 3-4 moths ago I played with someone who used Hitlerniggakilla (or something like this) nick. People reacted, trying to kick him out of game and they guy asked: "why you want to kick me?" he got answers and said: "I am sorry, I will change this nick, I didn`t know it could be offensive".
    This was something amazing.
So yes, administrators should try to fix what some parents and poor educators screwed.

  3. Lol at that name ^^
We simply should have something like LoL has
At the scoreboard right click on a name
There you can report him and choose a reason
That would require the ability to use the curser while on scoreboard

Maybe only while you are waiting to respawn or at the matchs end

As long as they behave decently I don't really care about their nicknames.

    What? Really? Thats pretty hilarious.

True story. It was on Blackbolt before it was redisigned. 100% about Hitler nigga not sure about third word in nick.
When played started telling "quit game racist" he was really amazed what do they want form him. When they pointed his nick I was expecting something like:"I can name my character as I want" or some racist declaration. But he appologied and said he didn`t know if anyone could be offended. Sounds like a nice kid... But damn stupid.
If I am correct he wasn`t reported couse it was comming from his ignorance not a bad will. Never seen this nick again so I suppose he changed it. People are learning on their mistakes... some of them.
Hmmm.. nothing funny. I work with a lot of kids, they are not to be blamed. Problem are theit parents. Everyone can make a kid, few can raise them.

I don't understand why people get offended by silly nick names. The ones who have issues with "racist/offensive" nicks are the ones making them offensive in first place. The player who named him self like that only looks silly...

If we stop recognizing black and white people and will recognize everyone as a people the problem will disappear. Stop being SJWs and just ignored it.

Having a Hitler nickname on Orks seems more funny than if someone wanted to offend you.

This is how to fix it:

Stop crying about it and the problem is solved.

its just a name, same as words. you're only offended if you choose to be. i don't care what name anybody has because i don't give a shit.

  10. You just need a naming ruleset like what World of Warcraft has.

    1) No lore character names. (Abaddon, Davian, Marneus, Sindri, etc.)

    2) No repeating letters back to back.

    3) No questionable/rude names.

IF people want lore accurate names, simply have a page per each race, describing some back story with a list of example names. Around five or six, perhaps.
