Lol but what happend to LORE ABOVE ALL!?

Honestly that was impossible from the outset, because everyone has a different idea of what 40k's "lore" means. So no matter what you do, somebody's going to think that lore is being "broken".

The other reason is because the people who are most vocal about it are novel fanboys, and the novels have gone through a quantity of power creep that puts DBZ to shame. If we followed those novels to the letter (and buffed Space Marines every time a new one came out), this would just end up being a one-faction game.

  3. I just hope I'll be able to spawn my own small vehicles, like Warbikes.

My immediate plan after learning the basics of the game was to drive around and sight-see.

This is basically the Terminator General all over again...
Restrictions should not fall on the individual just cause he chose to be an individual.

Players who work their ass off for that once in 3 days hero spawn (random number) should have every right to spawn it wherever they please. We already know heroes wont be walking gods but something like a beefed up support, and we were already confirmed that buffs will not be stacking when i asked them about the Sorcerer some time ago.

Your strikeforce saved up for a week to spawn 100 Chaplains? Good for you, enjoy getting devoured by range fire as Chaplains arent known for their ranged arsenals. Also enjoy having an inefficient composition that can be countered.
You saved up for 100 Librarians? Neat, enjoy getting shredded to pieces by the people who spawned their Raptors/Stormboys for free and jumped you en masse taking you out. They lost nothing (free spawn) you lost quite allot trying to start this inefficient composition.

Yes i know, having 100 Chaplains would be stupid, and for the reasons stated above i dont think we will be seeing that ever happen outside someone trying to act dumb and cripple themselves resource wise for a week (again random example) and their whole strikeforce.

Strike forces should get some tools to ease their work towards spawning one, like the conjoined RP pool so they can all chip in, but regular players should not have arbitrary requirements to be in a SF if they even think of spawning something outside a basic class.

I agree with your statement when related to the elite classes. I disagree about the heroes. If it's all a matter of RP, what would this units have of such heroical?

Let's see how this poll should work according to the designers, before stating that's broken.
I mean, for the fact you need to be in a cohesive group in order for everyone to have his chance to play as a hero, this might be a mean to promote socialization among timid people! :)

Or it can promote severely negative situations as well, some people dont like being told what and when something can be played (lol some, most).
Theres also people who will solo, this demographic exists in every MMO (including PS2).

Ive been playing organized RvR raids from when GW2 launched and there are still to this day many people i meet that dont group up at all, but could give a run for their money to many of the guildmates i ran with who were inferior in skill. These people will stay solo out of their own reasons (as varied and sometimes not understandable as they could be), and they should not be punished for it. That same person will use the hero the same way some other bloke in a strikeforce will, just that he will be less efficient (or so we assume).

So yeah, arbitrary walls help nothing but risk pissing off the inescapable demographic that will exist.
Again, nothing against SF's having pools, they can have jacuzis for all i care. That doesent mean anyone should be forced to enter one of these groups with randoms for a chance to spawn a hero or an elite.

Well, first of all comparing titans to infantry units doesn't make any sense.
Second, I don't want to promote zergs, you don't need to do it, they will promote themselves and there's not really much that can be done about that :D.

What's more, if the idea with heroes being chosen by squad members gets implemented it will make the zerg problem even worse. Imagine there are about 300 chaos players in one location -30 squads, each of them pulls the hero and you get 30 Fallen Captains in one location, how does that stop zerging? Nothing can stop the zerg effectively, all solutions can be bypassed.

Paying shit loads of rps for your hero and losing him in a minute if you used him in a stupid way would definitely make this unit matter much more than the solution currently presented.

One more thing, forget about elite classes chosen in this way (squad voting). That will NEVER pass unless Canada doesn't mind a little deep strike from Europe :D. Heroes? I dunno, I could survive it although it's definitely a very limiting and frustrating mechanics.

How is comparing a Titan (in that game, not 40k lore Titan) different from a tank, Elite unit or anything else that is supposed to be a reward deployment unit? The way I see it the concepts are very close and the fact that deploying them too often or making the units too frail (as is required to balance the frequency of said unit) would sit ill with me, if replicated in The Eternal Crusade.

I don't want to delve into muddy analogies, I prefer to keep things simple. So, again, the idea of choosing heroes by squad members is bad as it takes away the character control element from the player. the player who paid for the full content of the game. I'm not even mentioning the whole elitism and nepotism drama within squads or strike forces.

I am also of the belief that requiring players to be in a squad or platoon in order to spawn a combat multiplier is not ideal. Lone wolves are here to stay & preventing access to content they paid for (heroes in the store) would be doing them injustice. By all means incentivize team play, but don't expect everyone to conform. One thing we all seem to agree on however is that these elites/heroes /vehicles should be limited which is reassuring.
