Maybe due to lag to me, but when i unload a fullclip to an ork head i'm dead because his gun hit just harder or faster; and the times you unload the gun on a mele guy, you're engaded at a mele fight, so your'e f*cked because Mele in general is just op
Well fellow green skins, that's why i'm here ! To understant why i have so much problem with the orks. -ok you have less long range firepower, but there is only point capture based objectif, and they are all in close areas, you clearly have a "little" advantage in closer combat, also the maps are full of cover so we can't really conter you with a death-zone to protect the point,that's make the ork race very powerful in the actual game. I personaly never seen a marine/chaos backstab an ork and down him with one single swing, and even somtimes i spot an ork in a corner attacked by 3 mele guys and surviving more than 5 seconds where i as a heavy armored mele traitor can somtimes die after only one poisonous hit, and at they was the choppa's bug that make hit X2 more powerfull at Heavy backstabs that have been fixed, Also i know that Chaos's sorcerers have a loot of potential mass heal/poison, but with the ork's close combat advantage, the OP mele balance as a Sorcerer i just can't have a Tzeensh's heal build because of the lower life and the close range area of heal i have to be at mele, that's mean one shot most of the time, i can't use Nurgle's heal because it's very slow and ineffective against ork's poison/heat blades, the cassic heal is a unique target, and orks move in packs ( orks are supposed to be stupid, but the player are as clever as the eldars ), Slaanesh's heal alsi need close range, i'm fucked when i play against ork, because the game is made of cover, close combat objecifs.
Also...isnt it not good to use a armor pen mod on a power weapon? Kind of seems over kill, rather just go dmg mod on power weapon and pen mod on regular weapon.
Wooooah friend lets hang on a second here. Lets unpack what youre saying. Yes, this is true, but they are also waaay less accurate and without any upgrades it really makes a difference for most players. Well, depends on the weapon. I know the devs have been messin with the backstab damages so I think its not permanent. Not 100% sure what youre saying here, but defensive bash (even though its screwy for everyone) helps in these situations most of the time when it works. Actually, you're only half right. they do in fact have 50 more health than everyone else, and Eldar have 20 less toughness than anyone else, but that only amounts to basically Orks having 1-2 more hits to kill with normal weapons, and marines taking 4-5 more rounds than an eldar. unless they're upgraded, not too much of a difference here. Sadly, this is true, and applies to all factions. D-bash is buggy for everyone, it doesn't work half the time. This combines with the ork animations not being the clearest to see makes it hard for everyone else. Once again, not 100% on what youre trying to say here. Poison or heat can be difficult, and the melee weapons that can apply these effects are a bit unbalanced. now this strikes me as a bit off to be honest, and it might just be lag, but that shouldn't happen. I play as all 4 factions, and Orks are not impossible to kill. Once again, this seems a bit off about not being able to kill them, but orks are supposed to be good in melee. Especially if its a devastator vs a stormboy. Then its never going to end in your favor. You can, just not if they're an assault class and youre not. I even played as a stormboy today and a skilled tactical killed me. Not impossible. You really can. Eldar have a crazy fast rof and the Marines have pretty good accuracy. They can't outnumber you. No one outnumbers anyone on purpose. Its only the game not having the best team balance. Orks have mostly the same respawn time and the same amount of players on the servers. I mean assault classes are a bit screwy right now, but everyone has issues running from them unless you're an Eldar This I have no answer for. You're basically saying that through the whole time you have played this game, you haven't killed one ork. I find it hard to believe The truth is, OP is just saying over exaggerated versions of what everyone else says. I play all 4 factions regularly and I understand the issues that Orks have, but they're not the only messed up faction and they are far from impossible to play against. Some of the issues are also on the Marine end. (I assume you play mainly LSM). Lsm is currently in need of a buff. This might make it bothersome to play against orks, but not impossible in any right.
i've killed a LOOT of orks, most of the time in 1v1 mele, it's freacking hard, you have to hit them so many times ! unlike LSM or eldars, with most of their attack blocked, and still i die ! i am a Chaos sorcerer or assaut traitor most of the time, and i tell you, orks are freacking over the top ! ( even the dev have admited it ! ) maybe the lag don't help, but the when you see 2 mele chaos against 1 ork stuck in a corner, and the ork is not dying there is a problem, when i play against Orks i almost lose almost everytime ! and their poisons, their energy axe , it's almost one shot all of the time, even with my Nurgle marked, heavy armored, life steal assaut traitor ! i've build it for protection, but since the orks are masters of close range / mele in this game, and the game lags and close range focused maps, orks are just over powered, not only by themself, but also by the map, and the gameplay hitself !
Well I'll just throw my two cents in here. I Main orks, I'm not the best ork. I've seen allllllllll the races able to two-three shot me with melee weapons. I've seen Space marines gun down orks fairly quick or survive a good amount of slugga rounds to the face. No ones games are going to be identical everyone is going to see things differently. And every game can be and for me will be a complete roll of the dice on whether or not something goes well or I constantly get shot or stabbed to death while trying to beat someones head in. To push things together at the end of this point. Each group will find overpowered bits about another group due to the fact they are either unable to do that to the other group themselves, or see others doing it.
