So the devs have said pretty straightforwardly that mutations will be a thing according to the 6th question asked here: http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/mmorpg-com-dev-q-a.1163/ I was thinking that we of the Chaos sub-forum could list our ideas for mutations? Get a sort of living resource of player preferences and ideas going on one of the most malleable aspects of the entire game.
They haven't been really detailed beyond what the devs have said there, at least as far as I've seen. I'm really not all that sure on which direction they're taking it.
Personally though, as a devoted child of Father Nurgle, I'm very much looking forward to bloated bellies protruding from busted power armor. Intestines drooping from open wounds Perhaps putrid stag horns for those truly devoted to father Nurgle
Eh, those are just the most visual Nurgly mutations that I can think of. I'd go into my comprehensive list but I'd like to leave a bit of room for others to post. If there was anything I'd really push for as far as an ability-related mutation I'd say I want a Nurgling infestation. Forcing out a dozen little AI controlled nurglings that run around possibly lowering armor values or toughness and possibly dealing some damage over time.
The scope for possible mutations is huge, and exciting But, and hopefully, the IW should be given bionics instead.
They're doing a really good job of adhering to lore, and this thread is a great way to bring attention to that idea! I'm sure it'll be contemplated at the least. What would you suggest as some alternatives, bionic wise?
