"AH DAT HURTS" Mogg exclaimed as he swung around with all his might, the broken kroot still partly impaled as he spun as fast as he could in the water, lending all the weight he could, and thanks to the weapon now being quit heavy in due to the corpse on it. So when the blow finally connected to the backstabbing kroot, who just had time to realise what was gonna happen next, as the mighty blow connected to its head, the neck broke instantaniusly as the kroot allmost send cartweeling through the water, and into a nearby tree. Mogg then used his foot to kick off the other dead kroot, before he tried and failed to pull the knife out of his back, "Dok, elp me wif dis"
OOC: Son of a bitch forgot to add your name, this it what happens when I break from name first pattern! Anyways, Rot Teef is being drowned.
OOC: gotcha! And I get to kill it? Kicking while he had his face pressed into the soft mud. He fumbled around wif his free hand and managed to grab his trusty skull slasha. He swung back above his head and felt a hard thump an the hands holding him down falter, allowing him to get a breath! He spun over onto his back and swung cracking his collarbone pulling him close he drove the stabby shocka into its chest applying pressure till the life left its eyes.
<Brigade> Mercifully for them the rokkit that flew free of Grob's kombi shoota smacked into the water and detonated below the surface, causing little more noise than had already been apart of the fight and splashing them with yet more water. With only Grot Kicka remaining from the Low Lurkas he just shambled over to Skardrend, recognizing the largest part of the food chain in lack of his former Boss. "Well Boss? Woz da word? If weeez move quick we can make it ta da artillery an probably zog it up nice an naff till weez get found out if deyz sent a messenga beaky out before da ambush. Or dey realize dere iz a missin group uv bird gitz. " Scratching his head the Kommando Nob gestured off toward the swamp. "Lead da way, letz git movin den an reach deese guns. " With a sharp nod Grot Kicka resumed at point leading them onward. Given the better part of several hours without further incident they came to a large clearing where baffled motors joined lonely stacks of smoke. Arranged in a small range of hills acting as a natural barrier between the nearby river and the swamps an enemy encampment sat between the two highest peaks. A single path ran up toward a number of salvaged aegis barricades being watched by a small number of troops, whatever lay beyond them was a mystery from their current position secreted amongst a thicket of trees near the curving patch of dry path they had started tracking along for the last half hour.
<Rot Teef> From der covad hidey spot he looked fur anotha way around. Wif 'iz slugga not wurkin roight he'd need ta get real close befor he cud be ded killy. While he wuz lookin he tried pickin da mud outta da slugga so dat it wud dakka roight again. In a whispa, "Boss iz der anotha sneakya way?"
Skardrend checked his Slugga, shaking free any residual water as he gave it a good swing. He disliked this one path business and was tempted to send one of the lads out to scout around. Unfortunately, time was of the essence. "We'z move in low, spy out da area, see if any ov da beakies got back." The Kommando Nob began a steady crouched walk up the path, hugging swamps until he could get closer. If the Tau or Beakies had set up any sentries, he preferred they not know he was there until the last possible second. ((OoC: Apologies lads, would have posted earlier but my short shift turned into a 9-hour one.))
OOC: Everyone else feel free to get moving on up try and take whatever paths may come to mind and I'll react once most everyone has some stuff I might respond to.
<Rot Teef> He moved off the path about 25 meters in the wood line. He cud still see da boss, but just barely through the trees. He kept an eye out for any sentries or traps da cud tell dem where dey wuz at. He stayed low an quiet while he crept forward. When he gets close he's gonna crawl ta get a betta view.
With the Kroots being turned to nothing but a puddle of blood under Skarsnikk's form, the Dok would begin to breathe heavily while trying to calm his nerves. With a loud sigh, Skarsnikk would glance over towards his right - watching his bonesaw wielding hand tremble from what would've been his life going out if the Kroots managed to drag him down. Shrugging off the feeling and shaking his head, the Painboy quickly trudges through the murky water as he follows up behind Rot Teef. Without a word, Skarsnikk advances his way up behind the Kommando while glancing back to make sure nothing was following them.
<Brigade> Skardrend was able to get right up against the line of barricades, requiring a slow crawl but thankfully his kamo kept him from being discovered. Once there he could hear at least seven different voices conversing, all humans. Peering over the line gave him view of those men gathered around a small fire set up in front of a pair of basilisk that dominated the center of the small outpost. Off set against the foot of the flanking hills was a smooth looking bunker, a large disc shape that fit in line with the rest of the Tau architecture they had encountered on the orbital station. A trio of Tau Fire Warriors were stationed outside on guard, one of them patrolling around the basilisk. Skarsnikk peered back behind them into the tress and saw nothing, no pursuers or even unawares patrols that might be on duty. Nothing off in the distance either. Out in the woods themselves Rot Teef was able to maneuver amongst the swamp trees and saw what their Painboy had missed due to obscuring terrain; Eight more of the Kroot were swimming along the surface of the waters heading out away from the area and more towards the direction they had come from meaning they likely undiscovered as of yet. Mogg and Grob had the bright idea to try scaling up one of the hills, working in tandem to cover each other and get a view of things below. Secreting themselves on a small ledge shielded from view by shrubbery they were able to pick out what lay beyond the basilisk; A small length of razorwire reinforced fencing that guarded the ammunition for the artillery and a few other supplies. A pair of Gue'la Auxiliary stood on guard by the lone gate into the mobile storage area. Aside from that they saw that the path leading up on their end continue straight through the encampment and out the other side, winding through the swamps toward a distant bridge that appeared even from their range quite heavily guarded. "Boss. " Started Grob. "Weez see dere ammo pile, two 'umies guardin it. " Meanwhile in the camp itself the lone patrolling Fire Warrior stopped himself, approaching the side of their communications bunker his brows furrowed finding a Card Board box labeled 'Umie Stuff'. He wasn't sure what exactly the Gue'la tongue meant and called over one of the men around the fire, the basilisk crew whom were in the midst of maintenance on the machine momentarily peering up before returning to their work. Enemies Visible: Gue'la Auxiliaries x9, Basilisk x2 with Crew x6 (total), Fire Warriors x3 OOC: @Cousintp, there is your cue as the box :>
