More Weapon Mods?

  1. More mods = more viable builds and weapons = better and more varied gameplay, so here are some ideas for LSM/CSM I came up with.
    Icons exist for a lot of mods in the files, and most do not need any new models in game

    Tactical:
    Plasma Gun:
    Fusion Core/Heat Sinks: reduces heat per shot, includes two or three different versions, with different amounts for different LP costs
    Barrels: similar ones to Bolter
    Grips: similar ones to Bolter
    Ammo: increased ammo capacity, maybe a burning ammo for veterans​
    Stalker Bolter:
    Ammo: increased ammo capacity, maybe some more unusual rounds like a poisoned one or a burning one​
    Meltagun:
    Fusion Core/Heat Sinks: reduces heat per shot, includes two or three different versions, with different amounts for different LP costs. THis might casue issues with AV being way to easy (even more so than it is now)​
    Storm/Combi-Bolter:
    Barrels: Give LSM the barrels they don't have, add one to increase spread and rate of fire but reduce damage (close combat kill everything mode, but with reduced damage so it is not broken)
    Grips: Give Chaos the grips they don't have
    Heavies:
    Heavy Bolter:
    Ammo: increased ammo capacity
    Barrels: similar ones to Bolter, but increased accuracy should reduce damage slightly
    Grips: similar ones to Bolter, but increased accuracy should reduce damage slightly​
    Lascannon:
    Optics: give options for different levels of zoom, including no zoom
    Targeters: option for not needing to follow a target to shoot (high LP cost)
    Ammo: allow for more specialisation towards AV or AI/AP​
    Autocannon:
    Barrels: increased rate of fire with higher spread and lower damage​
    Plasma Cannon:
    Fusion Core/Heat Sinks: reduces heat per shot, includes two or three different versions, with different amounts for different LP costs
    Grips: Less recoil/lower accuracy, higher accuracy/increased recoil
    Ammo: Larger AoE/less damage, more damage/smaller AoE, less initial damage/aliment(heat), less initial damage/aliment(poison) (mark of Nurgle only)​
    Grav Cannon:
    Already has its mods, but some could do with a buff​

    JPAs/GAs:
    Lifesteal: buff massively
    Nurgle Scythe:
    Add the standard set of mods​
    Power Fist:
    As discussed in other threads, allow for specialisation towards either AV or AI/AP​
    Chainswords/Chainaxes:

    A lot of these aren't in game, something could be done with them​

    All:
    Make most uniques moddable

  3. For the uniques, I mean the really bad ones that you never see used
    And please enlighten me as to why the 'first one' (I assume you mean plasma gun suggestions) are 'not logic'

    The firdt one of what i quoted you say increase spread and decrese damage ... its only nerfs

    noone would ever use a mod that INCREASES spread and lowers damage. it makes now sense. And no spraying multiple enemies at once with a few bullets that deal next to no damage is not viable at all for a stormbolter. For that you have a heavy bolter anyways who can do that way better.

    this might make me use plasma better it like my favorite gun in 40k so i like it if it more good in game and not so bad

    Plasma gun is good tho, the overheat machanic suck but it still outputs a ton of damage at any range
  10. For once I agree there, but I think mods would be great for it. It just feel incomplete and looks badly done when there are redundant slots there.
    Basic stuff, basic stuff about the presentation that can't even be gotten right....
