Oi, smart boyz. I be wondering, do ye think we can get Merc contracts to dis great Waaaaargh you be makin. (For example. The eldar get picked on a lot. So they pay, my guild to protect them from other orks, Human factions or even just to fight Pve. This may sound really foolish. But I was really hoping i could make my Ork Boss a Mercenary and freebooter.
I doubt they would ever to this really, while very much what the Freebootaz might do you are simply a detriment do your own Orky faction with your way of doing things. And that cant fly in a game that has factions as a whole fighting for the actual victory over something (continent/planet).
Of course, FF mechanics are confirmed. Heck i even recall the devs telling us that team killing wont be that frowned upon in the Orks faction since they dont really frown on that stuff in lore. Who knows, perhaps it might be made into a feature. It surely will be needed to an extent with all the F2P Orks running about in your ranks, to smash dem gitz good!
Hmm, maybe I can work something out privately with some of the other factions? Or do think that would also not be aloud? Like they trade me several items and we help them defend a city or something silly?
Ingame alliances are confirmed to exist, how they will actually function isnt really explained allot though (im assuming its still very early for that part of the development). But then again if they work in any way we can see in other games it will mean your entire faction is allied with the other one, so back to square one. In any case, i guess being a Freebootaz is possible but i dont think your fellow Orkoids will find your endeavors all to pleasing and will probably snuff you out at any given time.
Do you think. I could be seen as a troll if I did attempted to fight with other factions. I will not fight with my own clan. But no doubt in my mind i will attack the Bad moonz alot
Well like i said, while Orks will probably be more lenient about FF it still will be FF and people wont like it. For a game to function well some parts of lore need to take a backseat to gameplay. Same way that even the Chaos leaders will not be able to rule with an iron fist like in lore. If someone told you you are a pathetic cur and then tell you to go capture the supply point most people will politely tell him to shove a spoon in his eye. So they will probably need to act a little bit more "loyalist" in how they address and treat their peers. Note that while a part of the community probably will roleplay ingame a big part of the game probably wont, so it would clash to much with the game itself if everyone was going about interpreting lore within the game with no respect for the actual campaign which needs to be won at the end of the day.
