I wasn't aware that Yog-Sothoth was among the Tyranid legions, but I think I'm ok with it. Figure these new designs will be able to make the cut into EC?

Looks like the copycat Nids copied the Drop Pod there, or better yet the Dreadclaw.
Would be neat, though the Nids themselves are going to be only in the underworld from what we have heard, so these things dont really have a place.

The kit includes a traditional drop pod, but I think this guy just kind of floats around and poots out horrible neurotoxic gastrointestinal death. I don't think it'd be out of place creeping around in some underground cavern.

Plus, that whole new kit is lovecraftian - even the toxicrene is kinda shogotthy. GW's going nuts on the tentacles these days.

Interesting. I dunno about it being useful in EC. Nids seem like they're a terrestrial only group like the seeded worlds the Ordo Xenos have documented. In that case I would not expect them but I like them

So yeah, considering it actually drops from the sky like the Mycetic spore it is indeed out of place for the underworld Nids. Unless the whole burrowing thing is actually a deep burrow, which it wouldnt be since its compared to a tick (which doesent burrow deep) and its well, a transport.

Maybe near the end of the game's life cycle, storywise, we may well see these things plunging down from the void with other big gribblies in tow. who knows

We havent even started, lets not think of the end (or jinx it).
But yeah, when it comes to the time when EC 2 comes out and this project is to close it would be totally badass to have all kinds of Nids come about to devour Arkhona.

And that would happen some 4-5 months before the servers closing so we are slowly witnessing the destruction of the planet as its being consumed by the Nids.

Pretty sure of the images I can see there the one you have up the top is not yet deployed, but the other images are deployed Sporocyts.
And yes, this is totally GW finding its way around the Mycetic Spore issue from a while back.
