Lord of the Maelstorm - Casual Chaos RP

  1. As Beowulf heard the various choices of missions he could do to assist in this, several tactical choices at hand, though he knew he would choose the arena, two reasons mostly, for one, it was where he cared mostly to be, fighting for fame, glory, power and riches, two he diddent care if anyone if of the crew got set against him, the arena battles might be a diversion, but he respected the rules duelists, and all the battles where dues sanguinary, perhaps to cover in fear at his feet could save who ever he faced, crew or not, but he would be master of the arena.
    "like you diddent already know, but i will go sin myself up for the arena captain, no worries there"
    Beowulf said before he made ready to walk off, he might not have rendered on to the daemon, but it at least seemed to have some sort of respect, or just seeing his usefulness, why else would he have a powersword too, now in his personal armoury, he had left the chainsword on a rack back in his room, Beowulf had decided to also start collecting now, a weapon for ever-kind of battle, and each of them having their own tale of various size.

    Simeon Bloodeye stood clutching his helm in front of himself, eyes downcast in thought while he listened to the briefing. He looked up to the daemon lord, meeting his gaze evenly. "Lord Khorgar," he said, raising his voice so that he was audible for all. "I can take whoever is willing to the markets and direct the efforts there; sabotage and subversion are my specialities." The former Flesh Tearer glanced at the other champions. "Once we are there, we can devise a plan for how best to rile up the craftsmen... but I've got some ideas," the man added with a curled smirk.

    The Aegis, refreshed and ready for battle with her new weapon, listened intently to the newly-warped form of Khorgar. Of course, she felt sympathy for the downtrodden worker masses that had, technically, birthed her as well. But she knew she was not the greatest of talkers, and so considered the other missions. Even worse would be to talk to the traders - a group she despised, and once more, would likely only agitate with her lack of charisma.

    The arena was out from the get-go - this murder-cult seemed to thrive on bloodshed, and her presence would be redundant with all these crazy religious Space Marine folks around.

    "I will take to the sewers, then", she announced loudly, seeing how nobody else had expressed intent yet. Less overt, she added "No good at talking, but I can fight and I'm used to that kind of battlefield" in reference to her gang war experience.

    "The Bloody Chaplain should go with you to the sewers," said Simeon, looking from the Aegis to the Blood Angel. "He'd be right in his element manipulating the great masses, no?"

    The Aegis blinked, looking at the 'Chaplain'. Where she came from, chaplains were religious upper-class folks of the priesthood, and not exactly warriors. Well, no more than anybody else was. This man looked more like this Space Marine people, and certainly not like one who'd preach of the Emperor.

    And so, she asked "So, a Chaplain, that's... what?"

    <Pre-briefing>
    When the drink Latrynix ordered had arrived, she downed it with a few gulps given that mon'keigh standards for strong drinks were somewhat.... Lacking compared to Eldar standards. With her drink out of the way, she left the money for the drink by her empty cu, as she disappeared after the Corsair and his companion, who had went into a sideroom to conduct their business.

    As the Wych sneaked into the room to claim the piece of wargear that she had seen, the Dark Eldar could clearly see, hear and smell both of the men in the processes of them seeking each other's intimate company, while she carefully stole both Void Sabre and its scabbard hiding among its owner's discarded clothes, while leaving the couple completely unaware of her intrusion with one of a few traces of her presence being a missing sword and scabbard.

    <Briefing>
    Latrynix knew that most of the assembled group would take the mission that best fitted their capabilities.... But she though that she was probably the only one who would also be picking her mission based on if it would advance her own plans.
    Given she was more likely to find out about her Mark from something like the creature that Khorgar mentioned was in the sewers than someone in an arena, a workshop or in a slum would likely know. So she said to no-one in particular "I'll also deal with the problem of the Sewers." Needless to say, the Wych was glad she had a new sword that would help her crack tougher targets.

    A chaplain is what I used to be. It was one who ensure the moral and faithful strength was kept strong. Whether that be in battle or times of peace that was my job. They betrayed me and now it would seem the proper terms are dark apostle and Harold have replaced my previous title."

    OOC I will wait a bit before everyone gets the chance to speak up their minds on where to go etc before proceeding. No hurry ofc.

    "Like you said little one, we are what our actions are," Khorgar replied and tossed the staff of the dead Sorcerer towards Solara, the weapon hitting the metal deck with an audible clang, "Pick it up, it is yours. Yes, you are right, you are important to me as a servant is to his master. You have potential but make sure you do not make a mistake your old Sorcerer friend made. As long as you are useful, you will have place here. The moment you overstep your boundaries or stop being useless is the moment your pretty life will be over and remember, there are far worse fates then death to be had in this place."

    "Bottom line is, the Chaplain can work the masses. But you'll need to gauge the crowd. They got a queen already - I say you try to appeal to that. Take the girl," he said suddenly, and pointed at Solara. "And work the crowd into thinking she'll be their savior. If they think she's food, remind them that you're Astartes and armed. Wanna play princess?" he asked, grinning at the sorceress.

    Solara picks up the staff, it being rather heavy, but thanks to her PDF training she at least had muscle enough to hold the Astartes staff in both hands. In silence she nods and takes her leave. Many things she could have said to pretty much counter-argue the words of the daemon. After all, his power multiplied ever since the last one who overstepped the so-called boundaries passed away at his hands. And with everyone who dares to rebel and gets stricken down, he shall grow ever more powerful as his reign as Tyrant would spread, more would cower just hearing his name, more would murder in his name just to not be seen as a rebel. Oh the irony. Without those who overstep their boundaries, the daemons would have no-one to oppose him. And there is only one thing that creates strength. Conflict. And that is why the Imperium falls apart and why Chaos is strong, Solara saw never so clear!

    With no united foe for the Imperium to fight, they simply decayed, played politics! But the forces of chaos... They struggle with one another, like Knives threatened her earlier. That is why they are strong and the Imperials weak. And now she sees, also that under Urtus she would have never grown. He would have suppressed her and only teach her what she thought she wanted. Oh Chaos was wonderful!

    ~~ Now - Bridge ~~

    "I shall see to chant your name as an idol of freedom, Khorgar. I am not a killing machine, and I too have recently learned how it feels to get the shackles of an overlord opened and removed." She turned to Horatius (@matt23 ) and smiled softly.

    Solara Orion wore what would become her signature robe. The blazing bright red-orange robes with a hoodie that she could pull over her head, hanging from the top, however she removed the cloak-piece, feeling it was too heavy and too thick for her liking. In her left hand was Velodonus' staff, without any modifications, it stood parallel to her body and towered just slightly above her as it was an Astartes-sized staff and she was a mere human. Her face was a tad more pure than before, some warrior scars have apparently disappeared as if they had never been there. The color of her skin became a bit more of an ivory-white than her brute beige-tan.

    "I do not play, Astartes. And you should also not forget that I have armaments of my own." She pushed her outer robe gently to the side to reveal her Bolt Pistol attached to her waist, and the fact she wasn't running around half-naked as she wore a corset and leggings beneath the robe.

    OOC: Signing up for <Mission IV - Power to the People>
    I figure we get more details such as exact location? Given in this mission you just said "The people of the station" not really a specific sector or any such thing ^^
