I created thread about this bug, - when you hit spawn in transport on point and if before you rez point taken away by enemy you will spawn in their Vehicle.
I can't fathom why some of you reckon this would be a "great" Ork game mechanic. If Orks could do this with a single class, or god forbid all of them, Orks will constantly drive rhinos/predators/vidicators off of cliffs whenever no one's inside. Orks could do with an anti-tank weapon but this is ludicrous at best. Once inside the Orks will become unkillabe while every other race has a chance to be killed before using melta on the vehicles. A simple bug that should be removed and buried.
Ta' be fair, me idea o' a mek class would require they stay outside th' vehicle ta' orkify it Methinks th' idea was ta' take th' bug and turn it inta' a mechanic where once a vehicle be taken by orks it becomes an ork vehicle and thus killable as an ork vehicle, not that it'd stay that factions vehicle while th' ork has taken it and stays inside it and somehow remain invincible
@Kaptain_K_Rool Allow me to clarify about the "invincibility". At the moment this is a bug not a feature, so if an Ork manages to get into a APC of any faction take the LSM for this example. The vehicle does not change teams, it's still owned by the LSM, meaning if an Ork is driving it the LSM won't open fire and destroy their own vehicle. Also if an Ork mek could turn vehicle's to him team this is an unfair advantage with the tricks one could pull. Quick example is capturing APC's on maps where Orks shouldn't have them, like most defence maps. Ultimately this just becomes an abusable feature that can be exploited by a single race, for balance purposes it's better for Orks to have their own Melta gun/bomb.
Gotcha on th' invincibility thin'. Though I don't imagine blokes would jus' let an ork drive around in their own vehicle. Figured blokes would prefa' ta' blow it up and not have it, ratha' than let th' ork drive around and run blokes ova' I loik th' idea o' orks takin' enemy vehicles wit' a mek that has ta' channel an ability/item outside th' vehicle (unoccupied o' course). Ye could jus' make th' orkified vehicle much weaka' in most/all respects, a standard looted vehicle template o' sorts. Even remove th' spawn feature from transports when orkified if'n that be a big issue Th' same defense I've seen used many times fer melta's can be used ta' defend this idea: Jus' defend yer vehicle and ye won't need ta' worry 'bout losin' it ta' orks. Ye leave it unguarded out in th' open then ye desarve ta' have it taken by a mek I be one who enjoys asymmetrical balance more than th' standard "evaryone gets their own varsion". I'd support givin' sometin' ta' th' otha' races as well ta' balance it out, I usually mention that wit' me ideas, slipped me mind that time
I dink it wuld be ok if da mekboy waz a 'ero class an' dey can only take da tanks an' offensive rides dat aren't too big.
