I have been playing a new game that is still in Beta but there is some grate potential, with a lot of features that would be so cool in eternal crusade. https://www.loadout.com/
Yes, long have I waited for a Warhammer 40,000 game where I can play as a Space Marine and in the thick of combat I can climb ontop of a Rhino and dance in full sight of the emperor's enemies. All shall stand and watch in awe as I bust some sweet moves; moves that you have never imagined possible in the thick of the fray. Chaos will happily stop fighting over the material realm and go live safely inside the eye of terror, the Eldar will regroup together and begin a long voyage inside their craftworlds to inhabit a different galaxy, The Imperium will learn to live in tolerance and institute a set of Human & Xeno rights, the Orks will find peace within themselves and all become accountants, gardeners and farmers and the Tau will renounce their expansive ways and retreat to their own section of galaxy where they shall mass produce cheap affordable technological goods, develop their own economy and then the Tau can just wait a few years and buy the Imperium, all thanks to my sweet river dancing skills.
So what are the features you're talking about? All I'm really seeing is the weapon creation system which I don't think fits into the 40k setting that well.
If you are talking about loadouts like space marine , yes added with weapon customization and choice of armour for example (space marine)the more armour you want the less mobility and attack speed you have
this game is a 3rd person PvP shoot-a with character and weapon customization, with a level locked tech-tree (cos what chapter would give master-craft lighting claws to a scout?) where upgrades can be purchase thru money you get by playing the game. It also is one of the most gore filed game I have seen in a long time, with the ability to blow chunks off and through people. (I would be happy with just the gore part in EC) yeah maybe not all of the game is right for EC but I can see some point where the to game over lap and sense this game is further a long then EC, it mite be a good idea for the makes of EC to have a look and see where they can take and improve on from load-out. The last point this game is just fun.
so you just want everything given to you as soon as you start? Don't want a sense of accomplishment when you unlock a weapon? just want to buy the game log in and be the biggest bad ass on the field?
I don't think anyone is saying we don't want things to unlock during the game. Unlocks are so common now they just aren't a unique feature like you made it sound. Its kind of like calling the coins in a Mario game a feature. Back on topic, here's some info I stole from the compilation thread. I really recommend giving it a read if you haven't yet.
at lest you relies it still called a feature. also it is clear to me now that i was hoping more people have played it. if you had, you would see that i mean the way they have implemented it not the fact they have one.
