I am Battle Brother Marius Sydonis. 'Tis grand to make your acquaintance, everyone! I am honored to join the Eternal Crusade!
Good, more proper warriors to claim Arkhona from xenos and traitors alike. What chapter are you fighting under? Your name suggests Ultramarines.
You are correct, brother. An Ultramarine, I am. (At least that is currently what I've decided on, that may change at a later date depending if they release any more Chapters)
Wait!?? what did that Fox say? never mind... Iam Zcee nook,Phaeron of the Sacarelic dynasty, Last of the Great exterminators. Welcome mortal, enjoy your stay here
Hey, I fixed your statement, no need to thank me Welcome to the forums, Sydonis. It's actually nice to see people who won't jump directly onto the wolf train.
Ahaha, I actually don't know much about the Space Wolves so that's why I didn't go straight to them. I choose Ultramarines because Warhammer 40K: Space Marine was my introduction to the series so I guess I prefer them over everyone else. But I'm glad to be here! I know my cousin and I are going to play the hell outta this game when it comes out, and I am really interested in becoming a member of the Community here!
Well, the Space Wolves are well known to be huge dicks to everyone, there was once a planet with an old lady and they stole her purse and kicked her cat (because they do such things!) Maybe I'm just making stuff up at this point too. Anyway, the Ultramarines are very often underrated because they are the prime example of a good boy space marine and quite often find their way onto posters because they seem like the standard, regular Space Marine. You could read a bit in the warhammer lexicanum to find out more about the different chapters if you haven't already, but if you like the Ultramarines, don't let anyone tell you otherwise
Ah, I see.. They do sound like dicks. I'll have to read up on them. Warhammer certainly does have a lot of amazing lore behind it, so I am sure I will have a lot of reading to do. I hear there's a ton of books based around 40K as well.. 'Tis a good thing I enjoy reading. And funny enough, before I got involved in Warhammer I thought all Space Marines looked like the Ultramarines colour-wise because it seemed like everyone used them to depict the Space Marines - So yeah, they certainly are the posterboys. And the blue, white, and gold colour scheme looks pretty damn good, if I do say so myself!
Ultramarines are the posterboys because their codex was turned into the generic Space Marine codex that we see today. Codex: Space Marines pretty much IS Codex: Ultramarines. That's why they'll generally be the principal example for showing Space Marine units off. The Space Wolves may not adhere to the Codex, but we still call them brothers even if we don't see eye to eye. Guilliman counted Leman Russ as one of his closest friends. We ought to remember that. Space Marines are supposed to be good guys. They were created to serve mankind. The Ultramarines just remember that more vividly than others.
