The legendary developer (he who shall not be named) ( creater of battlecrusier 3000ad) has gone on the defensive about his $99 early access price. Now to be fair all the guy would have to do is say Transformers universe or Elite Dangerous. That alone would have shut most people up. As those game are damn near extortion. But noo...This guy has a habit that goes a decade or more for burning down bridges. Just read this article...Then read the comments. You rarely find developers that leave comments....I think this is why. I think Markus "Notch" Person recently moaned about how everyone was buggering him for "doing the right thing" (i.e. implementing paid MP servers for Minecraft from Mojang and at the same time establishing new rules that limit private hosting, all while being on vacation 364 1/2 days a year), and even offered to sell his Mojang stocks because he was so butthurt about it. As a rule of the tumb, game developers tend to be humans, and as a result, some may be cool while others may be severly lacking in the entire "social intelligence" department.
No it fucking doesn't; it ensures only whales have access, wise or otherwise ... The school of plutocracy alive and well in 2014. Who would have thunk it ?
it seems like people saw a way to cash in, and its like the gold rush era. First come, first to get rich. Just wish we werent the losers in all of this. There are some amazing games and developers out there (including this dunder head, battlecruiser was amazing) Yet they ALL fall prey to the same shiny nugget.
