I have a vague memory of an interview where he said "don't smoke" and that even thou he had quit it would kill him in the end so don't smoke people.
Personally i'll remember him for many of his other roles besides Star Trek, especially in voice acting and as the narrator in the Civ games. That said, it's gestures like this which show how much his performance as Spock meant to others -
I had a weird epiphany when I woke up Saturday morning. For the first time in my life I woke up to a world without Leonard Nimoy in it. R.I.P. to a very influential and amazing man.
