Little subj suggestion.
Now lascannon is ultra specialized and situational weapon.
In any combat situation (except destroying vehicles) lascannon bearer is totally defenseless.

Let us equip pistols with lascannons (and better with all heavy weapons), it will not so shame then.
For shoot himself at least..

p.s.
Heard some things about motion capture problems and ridiculous disappearing cannon when second weapon equipped. But we already have "pistol + heavy weapon both" stance (when execution performed).
Think movement and shooting with pistol + heavy weapon can be based at.

I think part of it is they don't want packs of roving lascannons attacking everything. I think that is silly and all weapons should work vs everything. 40k has tons of examples of every weapon being used against non intended targets.

the pistol is really weak i doubt it would do much of anything (unless its a plasma pistol)

I'm totally for this! It's a pistol, it's not going to make heavy weapon classes some ungodly beast of killing versatility, just enough to make them not a free kill.

at the least lascannon guys can help out somewhat when a raptor is attacking another person. better than just standing there wondering who will win.

Give humans more weapons? No, they already are doing enough damage to our kin already, if someone usess Lascannon then he/she should know that he/she should not suppost to be near battle simple as that

take note that the battle (assaults/scorpions) can com to the lascannon wielder
