With an unmodded Big Shootah, I can have 150 toughness, 225 health and 150 armor along with a frag grenade or a medkit on my Boy. That's pretty tanky and shooty.
Mostly because the frag grenade adds actual utility to the build. And it allows to destroy those pesky apothecary healing grenades without having to spend half a minute pixel-hunting in the thick of battle.
Yeh, Agreed. But even so you still have the windup time of the big shoota, the increased recoil and the lower turn speed. Not that Im trying to hard to defend it but I think it is in a OK spot.
I'm kind of curious why they lowered the toughness of all the regular gobs to 20 and took the 15 health off the Rusty one? I get that it's on all classes now but- So's MoN? Especially since MoN Gives 35 Toughness, 20 health lowers stam regen by 60% AND has inbuilt poison resist? I can't say i notice the stam regen decrease because i only really use the roll to Iframe over grenades.
Possibly so that MoN actually 'feels' like the 'tanky' specialisation now. To simulate the immaterial endurance Plague Marines have. Not that that ever really feels as such in a patch where everyone drops like flies. Problem is, for straight up fights, MoN is just the plain best stat-stick Chaos has now, so almost everyone takes it.
The stamina regen delays nothing compared to the benefits. You can also half it for 100lp or take an extra two stamina for 200lp. I've managed to this on a GA with- I forget if i had Second or third tier armor and a modded chainsword. It's surprisingly effective. I suppose reducing movement speed with it on would have made it far worse than the stamina.
Reducing movement-speed with it on would be sorta cool, though the toughness would need to be raised further I reckon.
I think you guys need to take more meltas and grav guns to the face + the trusty old Servo Skull debuff in order to feel the "toughness" you talk about. Not even going to mention the tactical autocannon bolter they've got now :^) Edit: Or the Plasma :^)
