I have seen his post... I replied to it in person... and regulation is completely separate to the benefits (and pricing) of the Heresy pack/Heresy era-items (etc). I agree they should be regulated and that there shouldn't be too many in the game - it keeps it special - I was merely expressing my hope that the 'Heresy' pack gets access to more items as they come out. Unlikely though. Regulation is one thing, my concern is that future Heresy-era items added to the store will be priced significantly more harshly than a bolter. It's my hope that they maintain a set price (EG the $35) for future Heresy-era items that come out. Anyway I'm not jaded nor am I regretting spending money, I trust that the game will turn out well, whether the micro transactions are priced fairly or not, and that's what matters.
Nothing is confirmed in preprod, but Necrons are more likely NPC, next playable faction either Tau if the game goes more individual, Imp Guard for large scale troops and vehicle/big guns. I'd bet Tau.
It really does seem like the most likely candidate. They have so much variety in their forces and fit the game style pretty good being a FPS styled game. It'd be nice to see either IG or SoB...but we already have the Imperium represented at this moment. Necron seem like another candidate for a pure NPC race, and don't need Dark Eldar right away as we have Eldar in. Will be interesting to see if they have special deals when those factions get added, pre-order packs for skins/etc.
I had to slap myself to stop from throwing $250 down (opted for captain). I am hyped to an irrational level for this game, it's like being a kid again.
Didn't buy one, and I dont plan to anytime soon. Its not that I dont like it or anything (Looks at a juicy fresh heresy pack) It's just I want to see how good/bad this will go.
Gotta buy a computer that isn't complete sh** first, then I'll see what I have to throw at founders packs. Unless I come into a large sum of money, I'm probably going to have to just scrape whatever money I can between now and July 17th and then just buy the biggest one I can afford. I've made this statement before, and I'll make it again: there is no other game, ever, that I've thrown money at for a pre-order or for extra stuff in addition to the base game. EC will be an exception, based solely on my love for 40K and my desire to support this game. If we all do our parts, we'll be directly contributing to the potential awesomeness of the project. I'm all about that, in this case.
65 Founders sums up to $9,140.00. Thats not too bad, with a cool 10K for 65 dudes, there are over 17,000 members on the forums. This "spur of the moment" Founders pack could fund all their retirements …. wow that blew my mind and I'm the OP.
